在学校我学关于兵马俑 (terra-cotta warriors) 我学到了秦始皇，在公元前246，变成了皇帝他是十三！他是很自私。他是迷信人因为他认为如果他死掉了，人会来杀他。他自己杀很多人所以她们可以陪葬他。我希望你明白我说什么。

Well, first of all, do understand that you're going to have a lot of characters to memorize! Typing Chinese is another issue - you will either need to learn how to speak the character or be able write the character itself. To me, being able to speak the language is more important, as otherwise I feel as though I'm just staring at a bunch of characters I don't know how to read and don't know the meaning to. However, if you are talking about exchanging languages in real life - Chinese may be frustrating to learn, and when compared to English, its well... different, if you put your heart and soul to it, you're going to have lots of fun!

我們中文和中國歷史分兩堂課...中國歷史課又不需測驗、考試...我大概在中國歷史課所學的都忘了

其實我們也是中文與中國歷史分開的。但是有時中文的課文也包含了一點兒的中國歷史。

Not sure if this was what you were looking for, but this was what I used to use when my comp decided it didn't like pinyin.
