hiraeth... the word has been placed evenly among bears in north america and canada, as well as the arctic. you see, hiraeth is a welsh word that roughly translates to "a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your past."

bears from all over are suffering. some are being ripped away and placed in captivity, others are to fend for themselves. maybe it will all get better? maybe it won't. of course, captivity is quite a great place to be - no food shortage, no cars, no hunters...

but it can also be a prison.

however...

all hope isn't lost. three zoos, all with bear exhibits, have had a few births of cubs, totaling up to eighteen (18) captive bear cubs. nine of these cubs all want to be wild, whilst the other nine don't. the types of bears they are are grizzly bears, american black bears, and polar bears.

three (3) of the captive cubs are destined to meet three (3) wild cubs. together, the three of them will discover a journey they never knew would fall upon them. can they start a new home? can they build a new age for their kind?

pregnancies. these should wait until we've got about 45-50 pages.
literacy. correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. please aim for 5 lines per post.
deformities, disablements, histories and backgrounds. please don't have an excessive amount of sob stories! same goes or disabilities.
pictures. you absolutely must have a realistic picture for your character. i'd greatly appreciate if you had the right animal portrayed.
interactions. not all animals will get along, so there will be some conflict between animals - especially males of the same species.

Isi is a young - about a year old - American black bear. She tends to put others needs before her own, going off her road and into another's property when help is needed. This cub happens to be a ball of energy, always moving or talking. She loves to be moving, which proves beneficial. However, as social as she is, she likes to be on her own and appears to do better on her own than with a group. She isn't very submissive, so all you males and demanding females know, she is actually very stubborn.

Isi never had an extremely 'rough' life. Of course it was bumpy, but not always. She lives in a zoo with her mother, father, and two other bear cubs. She found, at a younger age, that she didn't like social groups, tending to stay on the outside of the group. As fun as it was for her, it wasn't the best. A young human, no older than seven years, had thrown something at her. It hit her chest, leaving the scar. She enjoyed life, but longs to be wild.

Anturus is a three year old grizzly bear. His name is the Welsh word for "adventurous". He likes to flirt with the females, but isn't too set on having a mate... When he has his eyes set on something, he is more than likely going to devote himself to whatever it is. Like most bears, he likes to be alone, being very independent.

After being born on the reserve, he grew up like most bear cubs. Play, walking, hunting or being fed, getting ready to hibernate, sleep, repeat. He had a sister and brother, whose names he doesn't remember. He's been alone every since he was a year old. He has forgotten his cub-hood, embracing every day of his adult life. He does have a tracking collar around his neck which proves a bit difficult at times.

Meet Kamilo, a young polar bear who was born in the
cold tundra. Like all bears, Kamilo has no knowledge
of his father. Amala raised her two cubs until an ocra
took her. He traveled with Taran for a while before
venturing on his own, for he wanted to see the world
and not be attached to his brother. He often runs into
trouble all the time, but is determined to make it.
