You know i'm just putting missed pets on my wishlist in hopes that someone will actually find me and trade one too me to be honest if i go looking for the devil fox myself i'm likely to get trades canceled and then told I need to overpay for it if i want it which is wrong in my opinion.

Exactly what I did last year and it worked out great within a week i had the missing pets from holloween last year. the problem is people assume that because a pet has the same color scheme or looks similar to another pet that it's going to be the same rarity i think that is what is going on with devil fox people assume that because it has the joker dog's color scheme it will be worth more but in fact it's probably not going to be worth much.

I think he needs to be surrounded by coins and such.
Mine is so plain compared to everyone's dress-up(Durr Splatter, you haven't dressed yours up)

I thought I didn't have him at first but after searching through my group,
I found him so I missed him in my adopted litter of foxies cx

I don't think that this is the reason, but demand is preeeetty high and this pushes people to want more and more for their foxes, causing people to offer more, causing people to want more.. and so on. Of course nobody should pay that much, that's just plain crazy.

they aren't worth that much thats the thing older pets are worth more then the devil fox so anything thats older then devil fox in years is a higher value then the devil fox. 08-09 pets are worth more then the devil fox devil fox= not worth 08-09 pets o.o

I'm soooo overpaying for the devil fox. I want an hundred of them.

Also this event was super good for foxes in general I mean they're all cool looking

I don't like demand so people who ask for more on a pet are ones who I'd never trade with.
All you get is one pet in return from offering a ton of yours.

I guess desire is what drives users now and then.

Demand is just another thing to add onto the unfair trade category.

I figured the eighth outcome fox would spark some hefty demand so I just offered a summer event rare while it was still in the blanket and now I'm grateful I did. I mean it's an okay outcome but just not something I'd really want to fight the crowd for. I was far more worried about the DoD Epps butterwolf.
