9 - Pink
Hey guys!
Every week I'll be posting a paint horse branded from 1-10, counting down the weeks until Christmas (or until I get summer breakXD) Each horse will be a paint mix with edits and you will have to guess its base colour to win. There may or may not be a runner up.
To win:
- guess base colour
- prettying up
- art
- creative names
I really want to see art people! And pretty forms, of course
You are allowed to enter and win up to two horses, but, if you win a horse that is branded with an even number your next horse has to be branded odd.
Each horse will hopefully be posted Friday and end in exactly one week. All forms will be judged finished or not (unless there is some reason for disqualification) and there will be absolutely no extensions unless I am unable to post.
Thanks guys! Good luck!Just to help out, you can have one purple and one pink

Ask me to share your fantasies, dear
But don't ask me where tomorrow is
Don't ask me where to find happiness
Though I know for sure where sorrow is

Owner: Chronometer
Show Name: Camden's Sinful Façade
Barn Name: Lucy
Gender: Mare
Age: 8 Years
Breed: Andalusian/APH
Colour and Markings: Flaxen Chestnut Roan Tobiano Pintaloosa
═════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════I peer through windows, watch life go by
Dream of tomorrow and wonder why
The past is holding me, keeping life at bay
I wander, lost in yesterday

Companion:
Not a cat, not dog, rodent or bird; Lucy's closest companion is a fellow equine: Nellie. Sharing some relation on the side of their sires, these two are inseparable. Lucy's the dreamer of the pair, always hopeful, always maintaining the same air of carefree happiness. Nellie, the more down-to-earth mare, keeps her friend's imagination in check, and gently teaches her of the harsh realities in this world.
Theme Song:
No One Knows Who I Am - Jekyll & Hyde (The Musical)
Poem:
Give to me the means to fly
And I will spread my wings
Off to a world of make believe
Of castles, queens and kings
Take away my freedom
Take away my light
But never take my dreams away
'Else I cannot take flight
Pinned to a world where dreams are dead
Life strives to find a way
To let his children touch the sky
Though night always conquers day
Take away my freedom
Take away my light
But never take my dreams away
'Else I cannot take flight
Behind this mask of joy
Lies a bird within a cage
Forced to sing for those who laugh
Upon a crooked stage
- Original work by me, please do not steal.

why I am, what I am
Call me a fool and it's true I am
I don't know who I am

What did you think when you first saw her?:
"Floofy chestnut pony!" - exactly what I said to myself when I saw her thumbnail image XD
What other than her hair did you notice about her first?:
Her striking bright colour, and how it perfectly complimented the lovely bow in her tail.
Why does she have such long hair?:
Through her Andalusian blood, she is indirectly related to The Oregon Wonder Horses,* also owing to her rich chestnut colour. Her main and tail have been allowed to grow to their fullest extent in order to honour her heritage.
*Specifically Linus II himself.

something to convince me
to renew hope!
A new day
bright enough
to help me find my way!

Personality:
Seen as a carefree mare who just wants to have fun, Lucy is actually quite a complicated character. On the outside, she appears uncaring, selfish, and a little prideful. Her general attitude is "If it ain't benefitin' me, then I ain't payin' it no mind." Behind this mask, she's a dreamer. A lover. A creative soul.
Very few can see behind the façade, Nellie included. Lucy tries her hardest to be optimistic on the inside, rarely allowing this to shine through. Her emotions are in turmoil; she hates her outside personality, but feels it is needed to keep her inside safe. Having seen terrible things, Lucy is far from innocent, but still clings to a childlike fantasy of "happily ever after." Once she trusts someone, she will slowly open up, and become a pleasure to spend time with.
History:
Foaled at a quality stud farm in the US, Lucy was loved from the moment she was born. Specifically bred for both colour and athleticism, the little mare was expected to go far. Her early life mostly consisted of frolicking with her friend Nellie, and daydreaming about her future. Once she was a tad older, her and Nellie started halter-training. All went well, and it was noticed the pair had a special bond.
When it was time for Lucy and the rest of the young horses to be sold, many were sad to see her go. Nellie was to go to the same home as her, so life was expected to be good. Happily, it was. Both were trained under saddle, and did nicely. Lucy was found to have a talent for liberty performance, so her training branched off in that direction. At this place, her mane and tail were allowed to grow unhindered, and were cleaned lovingly each day. Lucy and Nellie remained very close, bringing smiles to everyone's faces with their clear devotion to one another.
Good times rarely last, and Lucy and Nellie had to be sold again. A circus bought them to be trained as trick horses. Both loved this new life of adventure and excitement. They were treated well, and loved their roles. Lucy's flowing tresses were awed by little children, their smiles and gasps of wonder always making her feel as if she was the happiest horse in the world. A life of joy, thrill, and performance lay ahead of the pair. Sadly, this had to change.
An offer was made on Lucy, the "Fairytale Horse," that could not be refused. She was sold to another circus, Nellie alongside her. This show was nothing like the first. Years of misery and mistreatment passed, with the two horses loosing their grip on hope as each day passed. Comforting and supporting one another, they barely made it to the end with their sanity intact. Though the details are fuzzy, somehow Cottonwood stepped in and managed to bring the cruelty to light, gaining the authority to seize the circus's hoses as well. Lucy and Nellie found hope once again. At Cottonwood, they were loved and cared for, then put up for adoption with the hope that they would find a forever home.
