Ah, but to enjoy one's Labyrinth one must first wish something away correct? Wish a child or a sibling, not wanted, and be hidden from view. But what would i wish away to visit your Labyrinth? My Brother, No to stupid (he would make a Horrible Goblin) I Could wish away myself, but honestly i don't think that work very well ether, but i do suppose. If i was to wish myself away, i wouldn't get to see the Labyrinth at all, were as if i was to wish away my brother, i would have to go through it to get him back. As much as a pain he is to me it would be rather interesting to search the Labyrinth.

Hmm such complications, such decisions but when it comes down to it, To see the Labyrinth you must wish another away, and i couldn't. Do not get me wrong, i myself would love to see your Labyrinth with all it's tricks and puzzles, it's confusing twists and turns, but i would not wish anyone away.. I'm Sorry Goblin king, but i could not. I Could not wish anyone an ill fate of being wished away to Your Kingdom... I'm sure i might in the future, but at this current moment in time, i would not wish anyone away. I Can just enjoy your Labyrinth through stories, things that have happened to others, yet not to myself.


Journal Entries:

Day One:
Alright, Well. This is Journal entry number one, I guess? I Honestly don't know why i'm doing this.. Oh right, because i was dared to. Well isn't this peachy, i'm stuck in a bloomen labyrinth.. Not just 'a' Labyrinth, but 'the' Labyrinth. Yea thank you very much Tristen. You see, the Labyrinth is not something that you would want to go in, Volunterly or on your own. This labyrinth is owned by that of the Goblin King, Or Jareth, but don't ever call him that.

Alright, i should probably intoduce myself. Hello there, i'm Stroya, as i've previously, i was dared by my friend Tristen to go into the Labyrinth, it's nothing big, but the main thing. Don't look back at the entrance. Now from what i've been told, once you walk into this labyrinth you cannot get out, not until you have made it all the way through to the end. It's not an easy trip, nor is it safe. But what do you Expect, The Goblin king loves things like this.

Day Two:
I'm in the Labyrinth now.. What part i honestly don't know, but there are so many plants growing in this place, kinda surprising to me. From everything I've heard, The Goblin king isn't a nice man, so i don't understand his need for pretty plants.. Maybe to make travelers happy? i honestly don't know doesn't really matter for me. But i guess i can tell you about some of the plants, See this here. that's a mandrake, very well known for screeching in a loud high pitched voice. It hurts your ears, so try to avoid it at all costs.

This plant here, it's a vine. Yea a simple vine, but don't try to climb these vines as the Goblin king can see and make it that the vines can simply vanish. These poppies, They make you fall asleep, very dangerous, i would avoid them if you could. Or find someway to freeze them.. Those vines i mentioned earlier, even more dangerous. They can creep along the ground and curl around your ankle. So be careful there as well.

Day Three:
Ok ok, ugh mud. Oh right, lets put it bluntly, the monsters in here are absolutely terrifying and bloody confusing. Talking doors that ask you questions ugh 'He lies' 'No his lying' that was confusing enough for my mind, but then come the talking caterpillars.. I Mean how? that shouldn't even be possible, but no it is. Anything is possible in this world. Or in this labyrinth to be more precise.

There are tall creatures, and then there are small creatures. Ones that bite, and ones that hide, i mean there was even a human girl once.. S-S.. i can't remember her name anyway, some of the creatures you will come across are different take the Fire gang for example, they believe that it's normal to be able to take your head off just like them. But it's not, not that they will ever understand. (Continued Next page)

Day Four:
If your trying to get into the Goblin city, then be very careful as Humongous is the cities guard, his a giant. And honestly he is rather terrifying. Then there are these things called False Alarms, there faces carved into the labyrinth walls. They tell you things like 'don't go down there. There's traps!" or "you'll die if you go that way" to try and persuade you from going down there.

Try to avoid any and all Goblins, they may be small and stupid. But any information they can get on you even a weakness or a soft spot, they will report it back to Jareth straight away. And the biggest creature of all, Is the Labyrinth it's self, all the tricks and traps can end in death, take a wrong turn and you could plummet to your death.

Day Five:
Traps.. Traps.. Traps.. Well i mentioned one or two in my previous pages, The doors. The False alarms, a poppy field, the numbered steps. Step on the wrong step and you go straight back to the start, avoid the poppies they make one tired. Try to smash any glass orbs you see along the way as Jareth uses them to spy on everyone in the Labyrinth.

Honestly though, the Labyrinth itself is the biggest trap, It's near impossible to get out of unless you ether have magic or know how, a map's not to much use because Jareth is always changing the labyrinth layout.

Personality: Stubborn for sure, often misunderstood, foolish, strict, at times heartless and more than once known for being a trickster. Underneath his mask he is loveable. Although he is stubborn, he is also very bossy and serious, very serious .-. but he has a sense of dry humor and a passion for singing and dancing, although he might not ever admit it, we all think he had lessons as a child. Lonely for sure, you see it written all over his face, he might be the Goblin King but that leaves much room for open space, he fills this space with what he does. But do we ever really think he enjoys it?

Favorite Scene: My favorite? I can't pick, in all honesty. It is too hard for me to choose, so like many others, I will explain.

From the beginning, it was quite simple to see that Sarah was jealous of her baby brother getting all the attention(Hades knows I was when my little brother was born.) But when Jareth grants her wish and takes the boy from her, she forgets that jealousy and runs after him. Through the story you'll see that she forgets herself and her actions, she learns from her mistakes and becomes more friendly towards the things that are around her. She learns to open her imagination and accept what might not be real, with this she finds friends and they agree to help her along the way.

Now as it pans over to Jareth and the child, you can't help but love him, he seems to know what he is doing with the child. What I really loved about this movie is the fact it's not scary, it's a beautifully written child's movie! Although I've seen this a million to one times, I still have the chills each and every time watching it, I learn more and more with every minute! I recently watched it and I noticed the small things, like the dolls in her room? They're creatures in Jareth's labyrinth, which only made me love him more. He tried so hard to keep her there with him, the two would've been so perfect, he is what she isn't. And she is what he lacks. Really, what I loved the most is the plot. It doesn't focus just on him or what he is doing throughout the whole movie, it takes you with Sarah as she struggles through the maze he created trying to find the castle, nothing fancy about it. She does lose her way (but that's expected.) The storyline does not bore me, and that's a bonus! The fact the music fits well with the intention between them is simply amazing, although my favorite song through the whole thing might be As the world Falls down. Mainly because hello? He's in a tux, with a mask, and he's being mysterious. (need I say? hot!) But that is not why I love it, it's the lyrics. He did what she asked for, he lived up to what she expected, he tried his best to be who she wanted. In the end... Well. She wanted more than what he could offer her, she wanted her life. A normal life where things weren't so different.


With this being said, I leave with a farewell.

Don't forget the twists and turns of hopeless corners and endless edges! Why yes, Jareth I am enjoying my time here, but I think it's a piece of cake!

I believe I'm enjoying myself, twists and turns and drop-offs later. she is still trying, parts of me want to smile at her determination but other parts of me wishes she'd give up and let me turn the boy into a goblin. Either way I am certain she'll at some point break, and sit down in defeat. When she does this I'll turn the boy and at last win her heart for myself, least that's how I plan it...

Many crystal balls along the way and some destroyed the woman seems to be getting smarter about it, luckily I can't really lose these things or I might actually be upset. It seems though she's made friends along the way, she really is making my job a bit too hard but I do remember her saying it was a piece of cake, I think it's time I made things a little too unbearable.

I suppose I really am a trickster, or perhaps I can live up to the Jester name.

I try not to think back on the day she left me, although it's a bit hard. I don't understand where I went wrong... I gave her the things she wanted, I did as she dreamed and how she imagined it would be. But still.. she left that day. There are times I dream of seeing her again, times I think to visit the human world just to see her beautiful face, but I dare not venture back there. I will not love another if I cannot have her, but I shouldn't be feeling this way; this is not the first time nor would it be the last. It does get lonely down here surrounded by stolen children I've turned to goblins. But it seems they've forgotten who they were, could that ever happen to me...? Could I forget who I was if I were to leave my domain and enter hers? So many thoughts left unanswered, so many questions that thirst for solutions. But none will be satisfied unless I do something about it.

Maybe I will leave today, walk through the maze for awhile and see what has become of things without her here.
Or maybe I can just visit her once, just to see her. No, no I cannot give into my own thoughts, those tend to be dangerous...

Just this once, I will listen and leave. I won't be gone long... I promise.
