Aria flew back down to the group, landing next to Ari. "How about that building over there?" She asked, pointing towards a tall building. It had the appearance of an apartment building before the wars and bombing had rained down upon NYC.

The apartment building loomed infront of them.
Ari nodded "Better idea, there might even be extra suplies in there too" He
turned to head toward the buildings. Noticing a crushed can on the ground he
tried to move it. Instead of it just rattling it moved a small bit in one direction.
Surprised he smiled and gave himself a pat on the back. The first successful thing
he has gotten to move.

Casey hadn't been able to see the devastation past their own neighborhood. It was just as horrible, and seemed even more empty. A shudder ran down their back as they walked down the street, holding tightly to their backpack straps. The asphalt passed quickly under Casey's feet as they strode, with a quick glance at the sky. It was getting dark, and they had to find shelter soon. Hopefully, someplace with a bed would be nice. Someplace where they would be able to feel comfortable.
Shaking the thoughts from their head, Casey began to slow down. They had been walking for most of the day, and their legs ached something horrible. They were loosing steam.

Danrelle put the book into her bag as she walked down the slightly broken street. As she walked she noticed a slow walking person that was comming fom the direction of one of the neighborhoods.They looked rather tired and as she got closer she decided to say something. "umm, Hello. Are you alright?" she asked.

Aria jogged forward and extended her wings, flying up to the roof of the abandoned apartment building. It was better if a group went in through the front and someone else when in through the top to make sure no one would be snooping inside. She opened the roof door, walking inside into darkness. Her eyes adjusted quickly to the dim interior as she walked down the stairs, keeping her ears and eyes open for any creatures or other people. A door was partially open, the faint light of the setting sun spilling out. She crept towards it, opening the door slowly. It was mostly clean, save for dust on the floor and cracked windows. She wandered around inside, peeking through drawers and finding a few cans of food and bottles of water.

Casey's head poked up like a rabbit's as they heard a voice. They swung their head around until they spotted a person- an actual human, not one of those strange, corpse things. It seemed to be a girl, blonde or redheaded, a little younger than Casey was. She had a backpack and a worried look, and Casey wanted to fall to his knees and bless whatever deity that was looking down on them today.
They held back that urge, and nodded vigorously to the girl, a light dancing in their eyes. Casey also held back the urge to run up to her, instead keeping a cautious distance, but still gave her a crooked smile."Yeah, I guess I am. I'm just a bit worn out, you know? Not much I can do about that. How about yourself?" Wow, so cool, jack*ss Casey thought to themself, cringing internally at how they had responded.

"I'm fine I guess." Danrelle answered simply. She looked at them for a moment, noticing their general appearance, the distance they kept and the crooked smile. Then for a distracted moment she looked past them and saw the bent remains of street sign that read "3rd street" she recognized the street name and remember where exactly she was. "You might not want to be on this street once it gets dark. There are some really unpleasant things that come around here around that time." she warned, and glanced up at the darkening sky for a second.

((@Implosion -- Reached an apartment building, nightfall is coming. Aria is currently on the top floor looking for food. The rest of the group...I'm not sure what's going on. Casey and Danielle just ran into each other.))

Upon landing, it took Oren a couple of minutes to gather his bearings before he was brave enough to explore the desolate building. Finding a spot of liking on the second floor, the medical officer set up camp there; ready for any member who stopped by with an injury, no matter how big or small. With a sigh, he awaited by his makeshift camp, tiredness creeping into his bones.
