On the vast island of Areontis there is only a single castle, a single ruling family that considers themselves a Queendom, not a Kingdom, since it is the Queen of the island that holds the highest power and not the King. The four surrounding Kingdoms disagree with the island and declare that only men should rule a country, which caused many wars over the past century and an everlasting tension that holds even to this day.

In the present day, the ruling Queen has fallen deathly sick, causing the Kingdoms to stir in excitement. With the Queen unable to rule, the Kingdoms start planning an attack on the island, but it's halted by an offer from the Princess, and acting Queen, of the island. Princess Everness knows her home is no match against the many Kingdoms' soldiers, so she uses the only thing she has left, her hand. The left one to be precise.

The Princess sends messengers to each of the four Kingdoms that dwell on the mainland and on surrounding islands, offering all of them a kind of peace agreement. Each message is the same: All of the Kingdoms are allowed to send one suitor above the age of 18 to try and win her hand in marriage. If a single Kingdom tries anything foolish, then everyone suffers the consequence, the offer will no longer be offered and no one will be allowed to try an court the Princess anymore. Such a consequence seems to be enough to keep all four Kingdoms in check since all of them want to pair their suitor with the Princess.

(They are rather harsh, but that is how they have lived in relative peace for so long)
➥ All useable Blessed are taken from their homes and put to work in the castle once their powers appear.
➥ All must bow before the Queen, if someone refuses to bow, they will be made into an example via public whipping.
➥ No one, but the Queen herself, is allowed in the Gardens. Penalty is a public whipping.
➥ Thieves will be beaten, unless caught stealing from Nobility, then their hand is severed.
➥ Murderers will be tried and if found guilty, they will be beheaded.
➥ No peasants are allowed to have Draco-Lizards. Penalty is death.
➥ Don't marry outside of your class, peasants marry peasants.

Ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ

Species-

Human- The normal people who have no magic or powers. They are susceptible to diseases and are easy to kill if attacked by a stronger species.

Elf- A much more advanced humanoid creatures that has the ability to use magic, but only a single type of magic such as elements or healing. They are much stronger than a human and can heal much faster than the lesser species. There aren't very many Elves on the island, but those that are living on the island are relatively docile and aren't really ones to start a fight, but they are known to finish one if engaged.

Blessed- The Blessed are simply humans with a single supernatural power, it may be something rather useless like changing their eye color or it could be something that is highly prized such as fighting or killing. They only have one (1) power and unnatural eye colors, many tend to have gem-like eye colors such as emerald or ruby while others will have metallic colors like gold or silver. Only a human can be blessed, Elves and Lizards can't.

Draco-Lizard- These beasts are the smaller cousins of the massive dragons that plague the mainlands. The Lizards can grow up to about 20-30 feet (6-9 meters) tall, but not many grow to such height on the island since those who are big enough to survive the flight will fly to the mainlands and other places off the island, leaving behind the smaller Lizards who are still growing. Many Nobles and high ranking castle folk tend to have Lizards as pets, but there aren't very many of them so having a Lizard is considered almost a status symbol. These beasts actually have been known to 'imprint' on a single person and the bond will last its whole life.

Other Information-

{Please read them all to better understand this rp.}
➥ The current Queen (mother of the Princesses) is deathly sick and is unable to rule her Queendom, so her eldest daughter is in charge.
➥ The Acting Queen (Everness) will become Queen one of two ways, either her mother dies where she will be crowned with or without a husband, or she will be married during which time she and her new husband will be crowned as the new rulers.
➥ There are four (4) Princes currently competing for the Acting Queen's hand in marriage where only one will succeed and be crowned King at her side, thus merging the Queendom with the Prince's home Kingdom. Even though some Princes will not win the Acting Queen's hand, there are still three (3) Princesses that are available for courtship.
➥ Since this is in fact based in the Medieval era, men and women tend to marry at young ages, around 18 depending on whether or not they are of noble blood.
➥ Women will sometimes be set into arranged marriages that can be against their wishes, but back in the Medieval days, a woman's voice wasn't as loud as a man's, not like they are today.
➥ Sometimes, women will become pregnant and give birth at the young age of only 16, even younger in some occasions, but in this roleplay only women above the age of 18 may become pregnant and only by consent, there will be no forced pregnancies.
➥ Back in the day, women who birth children out of marriage are considered adulterers and are almost shunned from the community. Virtue in women was very important in those days since no respectable man would want a wife who has no virtue.

Ｓｅａｓｏｎｓ

{✔} Spring: The winter snows are melting and the flowers are starting to bloom. The clear blue sky is warming up with the bright rays of the newly awakened sun that had been sleeping all winter long. With the warming of the meadows, comes the birth of new life. Foals are being born and their mothers come into heat a week later which causes the stallions to fight and fend off any bachelors who want to start a herd of their own.

{ } Summer: The days are longer and the nights are getting shorter as the sun blazes down on the valley and horses below. Many of the smaller water holes have long since dried up and there is only one large pool of water left which causes tension in the already aggressive stallions as they have to allow their mares to be around other stallions in order for them to drink. Mares are still in heat and the stallions still have their work cut out for them.

{ } Fall: The temperature is starting to decline once more and the nights are longer as the hot days begin to shorten. Most of the mares are no longer in heat, but there is always that one or two who arrive late. Lone mares start searching for herds in earnest now since Winter isn't too far off now. As the season begins to change into the dreaded coldness of Winter, light snows will coat the land during the night, but it's still too warm for it to really stick and pile up until later.

{ } Winter: Days are very short and cold with the nights even worse. Many equines die during the deeper freezes, but those who are young and healthy will survive. The older equines usually don't make it since their worn out bodies can't produce enough heat and they freeze. Young newborns are at risk as well, late winter foaling can be a death sentence for a newborn as is an early spring birth if their is still snow on the ground.
