Callista had to smile at Duncan's gallant words. She then turned to Mali and shook her hand, her eyes taking in the girl, whom she had never seen before. There was something a tad disconcerting about her, but Callista couldn't quite place her finger on it. She shrugged to herself, trying to shove the idea into the furthest corner of her mind to look at later.

Duncan grinned to himself. He had the attention of two cute girls. "Not bad" he thought. He was the school quarterback after all though. Girls loved him. Mali was a witch, he figured he better make good friends with her. Something seemed not quite 'mundane' about the other girl too though.
