Form for Event #003
Username: Ditzy Derp
Adopt Name: Vincent [vin-suhnt]
Gender: Male
Personality:Vincent has a bold character. He's stubborn, feisty, and not afraid to try new things. Actually, I'm not even sure he can do the same thing more than once. It's not very wise to rely on Vincent for something important. Seeing things through to the end isn't exactly his forte. He does have a strong eye for detail though, and he loves to show off by pointing out things others missed. Attention seems to be Vincent's life force; his ego can't go one second without it.
Form for Event #009
Username: Ditzy Derp
Adopt Name: Guggenheim [goo-guhn-haym]
Shortens it to Gugg as a nickname.
Gender: Unknown; even Gugg doesn't really know. He's adopted male pronouns and generally sticks to them, though you may occasionally find him fluctuating.
Personality:Gugg is quite a timid fellow. He's well aware of how much different he is from other lizards in nearly every way and is very self-conscious about all that he does. He dislikes attracting attention to himself, but that's rather hard not to do when you drip goo wherever you go. Gugg therefore prefers to sit quietly in the background and pretend he's nothing more than an uninteresting ornament or model. The only time he really feels comfortable to freely move around is when no one is watching. This has the unintended side effect of sometimes making Gugg seem like he's haunted, because hey wasn't that statue just in the other room a few minutes ago, and why does it feel like I'm being watched? Of course, Gugg doesn't mean to purposely mislead or confuse people, but he still will usually choose to remain still than risk giving himself away.
Wise observers with an eagle eye may be aware that there's more to Gugg than immediately noticeable, but it still takes time for him to warm up enough to a person that he'll reveal himself, even if he knows they're already suspicious of him. But the signs that Gugg is starting to grow on someone are obvious. He'll scoot an inch or two closer while they're distracted, follow them across rooms, and possibly give them the faint hint of a smile. If Gugg does eventually decide to make himself known, talking to him can still be difficult. He lacks vocal chords, so his main form of communication is through gestures and particularly exaggerated (almost cartoonish) facial expressions. At one point, Gugg tried to learn sign language, but this soon proved to be inefficient as he lacked the dexterity for more complex signs and most people didn't seem to understand it anyway.
Once Gugg opens up, it becomes clear that he's much more than a drab piece of wood. He was originally meant to be a toy, so it's not too surprising that he acts pretty childish. For a slime-covered figure that spends most of his time stationary, Gugg radiates an energetic vibe. Friends sometimes say he gives off the impression that he'd tell the best jokes on the block if he could speak. Gugg loves to entertain and see people smile. Seeing others in distress makes him upset too. He has a bit of a motherly side and is very empathetic towards others. Gugg has a knack for sensing when somebody's down, and he'll do his best to cheer them up. He may not have a heart, but he still has one heck of a soul.
History:Gugg started out as nothing more than a vat of slime in a very old toy factory. It was originally meant to be sold as a putty for children to play with. However, around the time it was meant to be released, stricter toy safety regulations began to crack down on the industry. Certain ingredients in the formula didn't meet the standards and finding a new formula soon proved to be too arduous. The young company quickly sunk and the factory was abandoned along with the produced putty, which the creators could find no other use for.
Years drew on and the building fell into disrepair as time began to take its toll. Inside, the putty hardened and flaked near the surface of the vats while deeper down it grew slimy and wet. Fluid leaked from cracks that had formed with age. In a word, the factory seemed as though it were sad, if you can believe buildings might have feelings. The cracks gradually began to grow larger, dripping more and more of the green stuff on to the ground. Eventually, there was enough that it started to flow across the floor, spreading in jagged lines until it reached a door marked "Storage Room." Ever tenacious, the slime trail didn't stop there, instead creeping in underneath the door. There was something inside meant for it; it could feel it now.
The storage room was filled with prototypes for various other toys that had been planned but never saw the light of production. Among them was the wooden frame for what appeared to be some sort of lizard or dinosaur. This apparently suited the slime trail quite well, for that is where it decided to stop. It pooled around the skeletal frame, building up slowly into the shape of claws, legs, a tail, a face, until it had filled in the rest of the lizard's form. When consciousness flickered on in his mind, it was immediately paired with confusion. He had no idea where he had come from or how he had gotten in the factory, only that he didn't want to be there anymore.
Physiology:*Gugg's slime thickens and hardens while he sleeps. It works a bit like the fluid in our joints in that it thins out and becomes less viscous as he starts to move. The more he moves, the runnier it gets.
*Water and Gugg don't mix very well. If he comes into contact with large amounts of liquid, he'll start to come apart and make a huge mess. In contrast, an environment that's too dry will cause Gugg to harden up and make it difficult for him to move.
*Gugg only feels pain if he's hit in the wooden frame. Blows to his slime don't really hurt him, but they can still feel rather uncomfortable or invasive.
