NightShine became silent, as her gaze went from BrightShine to RemedySong who was still in the Warriors den. They were both loners normally alone and invisible to the clan. But that didn't matter to her though she though it might to RemedySong who was always a happy and cheery sister.

Firepaw hung at the edge of the crowd, head bowed. Never before had she felt so utterly and terribly alone.

"Russetwing! Russetwing!" Salalzar chanted. Over the past four moons, he'd grown quite close to the Clan cats.

Russetwing was shocked, she had been appointed deputy for the second time. She smiled and stepped forth, " I will take good care of the clan during your absence" she meowed, smiling softly at her mate and now leader.

Darkwing cheered, wincing as she moved in a way that hurt the scratches along her back.

Sandstripe meowed out happily for his sister, snuggling up to Sky.

Brightshine smiled warmly at her. "If I didn't belive you were capable of holding the position, you wouldn't have it," he mewed.

NightShine said her congrats to RussetWing and smiled a tiny smile. She was once more alone again, with a sister who was being a gloomy very gloomy person she sighed. But at the same time she was happy for both BrightShine and RussetWing.

Mintleaf jumped up, "Brightstar, wait!" He called, running forwards, "I would like to announce my resignation and retiring to the elder's den."

Firepaw sniffed, feeling empty.

Brightshine blinked in surprise. "Oh, uh, alright.
"Mintleaf, is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?"
