Okay, coolness.
Our pet store is pretty amazing though, they sell almost everything. They had two pairs, two females and two males, so if nobody took the females I'll get one of those, but if males aren't that aggressive, I guess I'm coming home with one either way.

The ich is gone this morning and I'm sooooo happy. So I have to go back and get some female tiger barbs to get the males to stop fighting. Woooooo.

I am so frustrated! I lost my third pregnant guppy >.< This one makes sense though, I guess, since she was pregnant from the pet store and she had been being bullied by the other fish at the store, so I guess she was just stressed and couldn't handle it.
Is it really absolutely necessary to have more female guppies than males? I have a 2:2 ratio of males to females since I lost one of my girls, and I'm wondering if I have to get another..?

You really should, since males will harass females for the most part. If it's 2:2, the females won't get a break.

Yes, it is, thanks. I'm just wondering if you're having extremely bad luck, or if your new fish are stressed and being quickly wiped out by ick without affecting the rest of the tank somehow? Are you getting the fish from the same pet store each time?

Yup, all my fish come from the local Petco.

There are two other pet stores near me. One has fish, but I've never seen guppies there. That's where I got my first betta. The other store is a fish and aquarium shop that I used to (a couple years ago) love to go to but since it was sold to new management it has just gone down hill. Loads of dead fish, dirty tanks, cobwebs, an ant infestation, and crappy staff.
So no, not really :c
