Stormpaw was awoken by.. something. He wasn't sure what, but something felt wrong. Then he realized that he just woke up. And he was supposed to be working! He wished he could get help, but Swiftheart probably would still be tired. He listened for her steady breathing, to hear if she was asleep. He heard silence. What? he thought. Is she.. He padded over to Swiftheart's nest.

Ashclaw finished his walk and turned back to check the border. He didn't smell any Swiftpack scent as he was expecting. He scowled, thinking that he would find a way to get that dog in trouble.

widened in horrow when he saw her "NO!" he yelped running over to her body
and nudged it "please get up ivyspeckle" he whimpered and layed down next to her

Stormpaw edged closer. "Swiftheart?" he whispered, gently prodding her. "Please, get up! Swiftheart!"Fear struck his heart as he slowly realized the truth. "Swiftheart, no.. Please don't be dead.." he whined. Tears soon clouded his eyes. He lay down next to her cold body, trying and failing to stop the steady stream of salt water falling from his eyes. Even though he didn't like it, she was gone, and he just realized it fully. "Have a good time in MoonPack..." he finally muttered before getting up to report to Fishstar.

When Ashclaw entered the camp, he saw Stormpaw walking towards Fishstar's den, with a tearstained, upset face. He ran up to him and barked, "Stormpaw? What happened?" But he was ignored, and when he tried to get closer, he was pushed away and given a scowl. Ashclaw was taken aback. He had never been so cold since the disappearance of their parents. Unless.. Ashclaw paused. Did someone die? he thought, surprised. I was only gone for so long! How much has happened?!
(Swimmer are you ok with Ashclaw being Wolfblood's mate then? Just confirming)
