Morning. wrote:His question caught her off guard. How long? Eirian was only a child when she entered the cave, many many years ago. "Long, long time." So long in fact, everyone she once knew is most likely dead, and so are their children's great grand children. Possibly even longer. But time passes so strangely in the cave. "No one left."
Trollish wrote:Igneel looked at her with understanding eyes, suddenly the bright orange seemed more dismal and dull, inhabited by a sorrow and darkness even Eirian would find foreign. "Igneel live a long, long time." He looked down at a crystal on the ground, holding it in one paw as a sad smile spread across his muzzle, as if somehow reassuring. "No one left."
Morning. wrote:Emotions thrashed about in her heart, hitting her like a storm. Feelings she didn't realize she was capable of feeling made their way to the surface. Eirian felt so sorry for him, just the look in his eyes made her heart twist. She expertly picked her through the gleaming crystals until she was standing before him. Awkward and hesitant, Eirian hugged him. She believed it to be something one did to a friend who was sad. At least, she used to give hugs to her little sister whenever she was.
Trollish wrote:Igneel was startled by the sudden gesture, but returned it by embracing the other plumerian. It was strange, this place and the plumerian who inhabited it. Though… Igneel figured that was alright. After all, normalcy never got anyone anywhere before- and this plumerian who others had labelled a beast, a savage and nothing but a monster had gotten it completely wrong. Igneel knew of the struggle, for it was his as well. Others assumed that he was dangerous, violent and hostile- that he was volatile and would harm anyone bold enough to approach him- when in truth all Igneel wanted was a friend who could get past his odd looks and the stigmata surrounding him. Feeling another plumerian so close to him was odd, and he figured that she must be rather uncomfortable as his body temperature was quite a bit higher than a normal plumerian, but he said nothing of it. Words in this place were short and fleeting like the beat of a bat's wings, and perhaps that too was a good thing. Igneel felt a true, genuine smile cross his features, and his voice escaped from his mouth yet again in a small whisper. "Thank you."
