How would it feel to have the world ending?
On a normal day of high school a group of teens find
a device that time travels. they accidently time travel
to the time where mammoths were alive. they befriend
a group of teen mammoths and soon
discover that their world is coming to the end.

In order to save their world, the teens must first
discover why and what caused the mammoths to
go extinct forever.

But its not going to be that easy. No. There are
going to be challenges these seven friends have
to defeat. Doesn't matter if a whole herd of
sabers want revenge, or there are other things
dangerous to man kind.

These friends must watch their backs, since they
are after all in the ice age. were its cold, dangerous,
and hard to live. There is only one question, live or die?

this main character is feisty and brave. She
won't let anybody stand in her way. She is
determined. Amanda has blue eyes, and
chestnut brown hair that goes a few inches
past her shoulders. She is the daughter of
Austin North.

* Faith Peters - main character : "If you're my
friend, you'll trust me!"
Faith is smart and has the looks. She is the
boy's bait to surviving. Yet she is popular
and good looking, some people tend to make
fun of her because she is a nerd. She has
blonde hair, and green eyes.

* Ellie Patterson - main character : "I'm not, who
you think I am!"
Yet she has the same name as a female mammoth
in Ice Age, she's not. She's really a brave teen
with the humor and good looks.
caramel hair and hazel brown eyes.

* Joey Smith - main character : "You don't possibly
think that this mammoth is..."
Joey is a fierce athlete, who can run up to the
speed of a cheetah, but she probably wouldn't
out run one. she has golden blonde hair and blue eyes.

* Bethany Gold - main character : "We could just le-
ave him?"
Bethany is the know it all, rude, jokster of the group. She
tends to not get along well with Cam and Mason.
Brown hair and green eyes.

* Mason Winters - main character : "That's it."
Mason is the second idiot of the group. He tends to crack
jokes at inappropriate or unnecessary times. Caramel
hair and brown eyes.


* Cameron Hathway - main character : "Wonder what's
got him so pissed." Even though Cameron is the first idiot in
his group, he's also smart. he is a whiz at technology but he
prefers nobody knew about it. He has Chocolate brown hair &
blue eyes.


* Manny - side character : "Sure you don't, not yet."
This character is different than our main ones. He's a male
mammoth who lives in the ice age time. His real name is
Manfred but he prefers Manny, well Sid does anyway. red
brownish pelt with a dark chocolate forte hair do and brown
eyes.


* Diego - side character : "Lord of touch me and you're dead."
Diego is a fierce saber toothed tiger. Diego doesn't have much
humor but he does have a short temper and gets mad easily. He
has different shades of oranges as a pelt, and a mix of greens and
hazel colored eyes.


* Sid - side character : "And they worshipped me!"
Sid is the idiot in the herd, with no brain at all. He is a
ground sloth who also like his herd lives in the time of the
ice age. many animals would like to harm or otherwise kill
Sid.

I drove to my school not feeling a care in the world. My mom had ticked me off this morning. I had an assignment for Language Arts. I had to ask someone in my family random questions about their past then write a paragraph on it. I ended up choosing my mom. I think all I got through was two questions before I had to repeat to her why I had to do this and what would happen if I didn't. Well here I am driving to school without my paragraph but only my interview paper. I was surely to get grounded and have maybe three days of detention. Both my mom and Language Arts teacher were mean and tough as nails on a chalkboard. I had a feeling my teacher didn't like me, but I knew it wasn't true. If it was, then well I would be gone a long time ago.
A car slowed down causing me to slam on the breaks. Good thing I was the only person in my car or someone would have gone flying. I lean back in my chair realizing I'm going to be here awhile when everyone gets out of their cars and goes to the very front. Curious I turn my car off and step out. I've heard of people dying just because they got out of their cars in a buisy street, such as the interstate, but no one was moving. I follow a group of elders where everyone is gathering. I hear screams of despair. Someone screams "Bloody Murder! At the top of her lungs. I wince because the voice was so high pitched it hurt my ears. In the ground is a car. Cracks and broken glass surround it. Tired I walk back to my car, but a violent shake of the ground wipes me out. Causing me to fall of my feet and everyone else. The shaking stops and everyone one screams. They abandon their cars and dash out of the streets. Unlike them I need my car to get to school so I one the door but stop when the car rattles. I look underneath. A huge farm of cracks have formed on the road my car is standing on. My front and back tires are stuck in the cracks making my car unable to move. I groan and slam the door. I tighten the laces on my ankle boots and dash off towards the sidewalk. My boots click and clack as I run on the sidewalk. My phone buzzes in my canvas bag but I ignore it. My phone can wait.

The sub walks over to the board and writes down her name. "Ms. Geyser." Ellie looks over her shoulder and smiles noticing I'm here. "Where have you been? You missed first period." She remarks. "Um, yeah about that. I had some trouble with traffic and stuff like that." I didn't mention the cracks and weird shaking of the earth because I didn't need to have her freaking out and get us both in trouble for talking. My phone buzzes again but I ignore it. I'm not supposed to be on it during school hours anyway. The last time I did that it was in wood shop and I got it taken away by the teacher, then I didn't get it back until class ended. "Good morning students. I am your sub, Ms. Geyser. Your teacher is away on a meeting but she should be back on Monday. Now as you can see you have a warm up on the board so you should be working on that. Also If you have your Parent Interview please leave that on your desk and I'll come around and stamp it for you." The happiness slowly digests in my stomach and worry rises up in my lungs. Ellie sees me freak out as I try to coe up with good reasons why I don't have mine because the real one is just fake sounding. "You didn't do it did you?" She asks raising an eyebrow. "I only got two questions out of my mom Ells." I respond. I show her the paper with the two questions answered. "Hey we have a sub, you can tell her the real reason and she will extend the deadline for you." she suggests opening her binder. "That's the problem, my reason sounds stupid and unbelieveable." She laughs. "Amanda what's you reason?" She asks me. I swallow hard. "My mom didn't want to answer all my questions because she thought it was stupid and seemed more like a middle school project." I say leaving one eye opened. Ellie doesn't say anything, she just sits there.
Finally I open my other eye and go back to my warm up.
"Um sweetie where is your interview?" Ms. Geyser asks once she finally gets to me. "My mom didn't want to answer all my questions because she thought it was stupid and seemed more like a middle school project." just to make sure she believes me I show her the paper with only two questions answered. She frowns. "I'll tell your teacher that I extended your dealine." And with that she walks off. I stare at her as she walks away with my mouth wide open. Ellie looks at me and gives me a thumbs up. "Told ya it would work." She whispers as Ms. Geyser walks away from her and frowns at the boy beside her.
After stamping everyone's papers Ms. Geyser walks up to the front of the class and erases the warm up from the board. The lights start to rattle and go dim. Nervous and afraid I grip the edges of my desk. Ellie grips her chair and crosses her legs under her chair then puts her attention back onto Ms. Geyser. "Since your teacher is not here, she wants me to have you take notes a video." She pulls down the screen and wait for the projector to heat up. I write a date and my name on my paper and wait for her to respond. She gets the video to load and soon we are watching Bill Nye. Bill Nye in Language Arts? I thought Bill Nye was only for science. I lean my face
in the palm of my hand and set my pencil down.
Again the ground starts too shake forcing me out of my desk and onto the floor beside Ellie. "Uh, what was that?" She asks trying to keep her cool. "I don't know." I respond. "Students, please get back into your desks. Nothing else is going to happen so please just get back to what you were doing." The teacher instructs. I stand up but only to have the wind knocked out of me. Ellie stands up and notices me lying unconscious on the floor. She bends down and slaps my face. Finally catching my breath I jump up. "Find everyone else and get them in the library. I'll come up with a distraction to get out of here." I whisper to Ellie. She nods and helps me up on my feet. "Um Ms. Geyser I think somethings wrong. My stomach it hurts." I pretend to make gag sounds so the sub will believe me. She feels my forehead and jumps back. "You are pretty warm, I'll send you down with a pass. Anyone want to walk Amanda down?" Ellie walks over and takes the pass. "I will." The teacher steps back. "Okay, but Ellie come back to class afterwards." Ellie nods and opens the door. Once we turn the corner from the classroom westart heading in the direction we need to be. Where our friends are. Joey, Faith, and Bethany.

I find Joey and Faith practicing cheerleading in the gym, and Bethany reading quietly in the library. Cam and Mason well they weren't so easy to find. I found them screaming their heads of in the cafeteria and the office. "Help, help! Somebody help us!" They haven't told us why they were screaming bloody murder yet. But they will once we get them to. "So why were you two screaming your heads off in second period?" Ellie asks. "They are babies. They were probably afraid of the rain." Bethany remarks. Everyone frowns at her. "Sorry just thought that was the reason." She goes back to being the quiet one and let's Faith, Ellie, Joey, and I do the talking.
"So the screaming, what was it about?" Joey questions. Cam is quiet and doesn't say a word, but Mason responds immediately. "Uh, we found something and it freaked us out." Her responds. "Yeah." Cam agrees. "What was it?" Faith is the one talking now. "A machine of some sort. We hid it so no one would find it." Cam responds. "Take us to it." I say. "But it's outside and it's raining so that probably not the best idea to-" "Take us to it!" Faith shouts. "God, fine." Cam dusts his jacket off and walks off with Mason. We follow behind.

My skirt blows in the wind as we walk out of the school. I cross my arms over my tucked in shirt I liked to keep my sleeves rolled up to quarter sleeve so it was comfortable. My black vans were coated in mud after walking in the rain for the past hour trying to find some stupid device the boys hid. "You idiots do know we have five minutes till the lunch bell rings right?" Joey asked. We didn't need to get caught making a stupid excuse to sneak out of class to figure out the weird cracks and shakes of the earth were just our boys messing around with this thing they found apparently in Cam's backyard.

Mason shoves a shovel in the moist dirt and waits. What is he waiting for? "Were here. Cam want to help dig this up?" He asks handing Cam a spare shovel. Cam akwardky takes the shovel and starts throwing dirt here and there. Dirt flies everywhere so I have to back up so the remains don't get on me. That's all I need. My mother or grandparents questioning me about the dirt on my skirt and vans. "Will you stop flinging dirt all over!" I shout. Mason stops. "Do you want us to show you this?" I sigh. "Yes." I say behind gritted teeth. "Then we have to dig, so how about you stop complaining." He picks up the shovel and goes back to flinging dirt. "Show off." I mutter under my breath.

Mason comes out of the large hole first. Heaving a large object behind him. What is it? "Um what us that?" I ask pointing at the device as Mason hoists it up. "Don't know, Cam found it in his backyard with a note saying 'take care of it' and that's all we know." Mason jumps up and lands gracefully on the ground although he flings mud everywhere. Cautiously I attempt to walk up to the weird clump of dirty and rusted metal. I touch it with my shoe lightly, and it falls over. "Well don't break it!" Cam screams as if I just dropped a china doll on the floor. "I touched it softly with my toe." I respond not making a big deal about it. The boys roll their eyes and stand the device up. "Well smart guy what does it do?" Bethany asks. "I just said I didn't know." Cam shouted. Obviously these boys were ticked at our questioning so I decided maybe we should dial it down a notch. "Well let's turn it on and see what happens." I suggest walking over towards it. Mason and Cam scoot it closer to me. I bend down (careful to not get myself wet and dirty) and get a closer glimpse at the device.
It has a large number of buttons and controls
saying weird symbols and numbers that obviously aren't in English. "What does it say?" Ellie and Faith ask as they walk over to me. "I don't know because it's obviously not in English like it should be." I poke a button and the lights turn on. They flash for a few minutes then stop. The numbers 618 appear on the screen. "Well it's on," Joey starts. "But how does it work?" I look at it and cock my head. I press a random button and bright flashing lights appear again but this time they are a shade of brown, orange, red, green, blue, pink, and yellow. The machine starts to shake and so does the ground. A ray of green light flies off the device and hits Cam, Mason, Ellie, Joey, Bethany, Faith, and I. I fall to the ground with the wind wiped out of me. I start to loose vision slowly and then everything goes black.

I wake up surrounded by noise, and water. Cam rolls over and wakes up immediately. "Water!" he screams. He shake himself off and gets all of us wet. A large noise shakes the ground. A crack forms where Cam was laying. Cam looses control and falls, but manages to hold onto the cliff with a stiff hold. Immediately he curses something crazy. "Get me up!" he shouts after cursing. Bethany looks at him and raises an eyebrow. "We could just leave him." She suggests. "No, we have to help him." I say. I lay down by the cliff and lower my hands ti where Cam can reach. "Cam hold onto me!" I shout. His hands find mine quickly. "Pull!" I shout. Ellie in the back starts to pull, making me go farther away from Cam and him closer to land. "Harder!" I shout. Ellie tugs harder making my knees pop. I ignore the pain and grip on to Cam tighter. "Were up!" I shout back. I stand up and let Cam dust himself off. Everyone stands up and looks around.
Ice and snow is everywhere. A mammoth trumpets far away. There was only one answer to where we are. The Ice Age. "Amanda where are we?" Everyone asks me. "The Ice Age." I respond. "You, you don't think the movie right?" Joey asks. I knew her and she knew me. We would both be happy if we were actually in the movie Ice Age with the actual characters. "Yes." I nod. "The movie Ice Age." Everyone looks at me with amazement. "You're kidding." Cam says as if I was being sarcastic. A head a herd of mammoths trumpet making Cam jump. "No Cam, I'm not." I respond. A loud roaring makes me jump to my senses. The ground shakes a little then stops. Slowly, I look up. What I see surprises me. A dark brown chocolate heavy, looking mammoth stands before us. It growls. The look on it's face let's me know that it's angry and not to happy about stumbling upon us. We are like an unwanted part in a really good meal that everyone wants to get rid off. Everyone gets behind me. "Why are you getting behind me!" I shout. Everyone shrugs. The mammoth growls and takes another step closer. "Hey unless you guys want to die or whatever, we should probably be MOVING!" Joey shouts sprinting past the mammoth.
We don't move. No one says a word.
Joey stays behind the mammoth still and quiet. The mammoth trumpets and growls once more at us. "Move, move, MOVE!" I shout terrified. Everyone behind me makes a run for it. I follow last getting a good look at the male mammoth. It scares me on who it might actually be. I catch up to everyone, and place my back against the edge of a high cliff. The mammoth apparently followed out scent, and made it right too us. Scared, our backs to the rock,the mammoth got closer. Joey looked at the mammoth's features, and started thinking the same thing I was. "You don't possibly think that this mammoth is..." She scratches he head and tightens her ponytail of golden blonde hair. "Manny." I finish. As if I said his name, the mammoth stops growling and looks us over. "Manny? What kind of a name is that?" Cam asked. "The male mammoth must be mexican." Mason jokes. Right away the two boys start cracking up, which makes the mammoth "Manny" more impatient. "Will you two STOP IT!" We shout at the same time. Mason and Cam stop laughing and start screaming instead. The mammoth gets closer. And one of it's tucks touches the boys. They hold on to each other for dear life and continue to scream. I face palm myself and look back up at "Manny". "Who are you?" He snaps. "Um," I don't answer and neither does anyone else. "Go on, tell me. Who are you humans?" I swallow hard, then step forward. "I'm Amanda, this is Joey, Faith, Bethany, Ellie, Cam, and Mason." I say. The mammoth raises an eyebrow at the name Ellie. "Who are you? Fat guy?" Cam calls out. "God they are so going to get it." Joey whispers. Ellie, Bethany, and Faith nod. The boys scowl and return their direction of vision back to the mammoth. "Manny, and I'm not fat. It's just this fur that make me look big. It's poofy." He snaps. Joey and I gasp, although it wasn't really a surprise. The forte hair-do really did give his identity away to us.
Manny growls and moves forward so that his tusks are on each of our throats.
"You seven are in deep trouble. You're coming with me." He says in a deep voice. I struggle to get out of his grasp but it's nothing. Finally he removes his tusk from our necks. Panting for breath we follow after him. "Wonder what's got him so pissed." Cam says.

"Why are you here?" The mammoth questions, once we are all in the same area. We place our hands up above our heads. "I didn't do it!" We all shout. Manny raises an eyebrow than growls. "Start talking." He snaps bitterly. The girls cross their arms and all turn to Cam and Mason. "Well, boys why are we here?" I say bitterly. "Um, it's a long story." The saber tooth tiger (which apparently goes by Diego, which I knew) walks closer to us. "Well, we've got time so start talking." Mason clears his throat. "Right, um----"

Mason followed Cam, as the two heaved a small, heavy, old, device into the school. Cam quickly ran over to the janitor's closet and tried his best to pick lock it open. With sound of a click and the breaking of a finger nail, Cam was inside. He grabbed two shovels and handed them to Mason. Mason took them but struggled holding the device and shovels. Noticing his friend struggling, Cam took the device. "Now, try not to be stupid and get caught, and follow me out to the courtyard." Instead of questioning his friend, Mason decided to keep his mouth shout and just follow after him, while dragging the weightless shovels behind him.
"Good god, can you be any slower?" Cam complained.
"Yeah, do you want to walk like I just learned, or like an elder with a bad back?" Mason joked. Obvisously not finding it funny, Cam stuck his tongue out. "Come on, we have to burry this before first period is over."

"Wait, a minute. You two deliberately stole two shovels and broken into the janitor's closet?" I ask. "Uh, yeah. That's what Mason said and that's what I did." Cam responded in a know-it-all attitude. Diego walked over to me a put a claw in my face. "Do you mind shutting up so we can hear?" I swallowed hard and shook my head no. "Good. Mason continue." Manny said. Diego extracted his claw and walked back over to where Manny was siting.
"Right, as I was saying..."

Mason handed his friend the shovels and sat down on the dry grass. Surprisingly, it had not rain yet like the forecast said it was going to. "Oh no no, you get off your lazy derriere [behind] and help me." Mason groans and grabs the other shovel and starts digging.

"That's it." Mason says after five minutes of continuing the story. "That's it?" Diego questioned. "No other details involved?" Manny question further. The boy shook their heads. I had a feeling there was something they weren't telling us. "Yeah, well I think you have to tell us." Diego says pacing around in a circle. "But we don't." Cam said stupidly. "Sure you don't, not yet." Manny snapped after placing his tusk against Cam's throat. Manny let's go of Cam and walks off. "Diego, take them to the village. They can stay there for tonight, but as soon as the sun rises I don't want to see their derrieres [behinds]!" Manny shouts and leaves the cave with Crash and Eddie on his back. "And Diego, I want you to keep an eye on them." He says as he walks out. Diego nods and frowns. "You seven are coming with me." We back off the wall and follow him out the cave. "Where are you taking us?" Joey questions. "To the village. You should be safe there, but in the morning you're gone." Diego takes out a claw and pretends to slice his neck. Everyone whimpers and jumps back as he does. "So uh, what's your name again?" Mason asks. "Diego." Cam makes a move to hop on his back. "Come on Mason let's ride this tiger." "Lord of touch me and you're dead." Diego finishes. The boys take a few steps back and start their laugh fest from this morning. "Wonder what it would take to kill them?" Joey whispers to me. "Probably something aggressive that doesn't like laughter or screaming." I whisper back. "The worlds turning faster than you guys, let's go!" Diego shouts.

"So how old are you?" Mason asks Diego. "That's for me to know and for you to find out." He snaps. "Dude, like seriously, how old are you?" Mason questions again. "You heard what I said, therefore I'm not going to repeat it." Mason rolls his eyes. "Like a threat from a saber tooth tiger is gonna scare me." Diego stops walking in his tracks and places his hand around Mason's throat, choking him. "I wouldn't talk back to a saber if I were you." Mason struggles against Diego's grip, while the rest of us stay back and do nothing but watch.

Out of nowhere the ground starts to shake. I loose my grip on the ground and fall. My elbow hitting a rock as I fall. Cam falls beside me and hits his chin on the same rock. After awhile the shaking stops and the noise from before is calm and quiet. "Wow, I actually thought we were gonna die!" Mason laughs. Everyone turns to him. I place my hands on my hips and stare into his eyes. I could tell he was joking but still, comments like that bothered me for some unknown reason. "Wait, we need to see if the ground has stopped completely before me move again." Diego says standing up. He places one paw on the ground and out of nowhere the ground breaks open. Cam and i fall backward onto the same rock, everyone else ends up separated on different rocks. "Stop moving!" Diego shouts from below. Cam and I look down to see that his claws are doing their best to hook to the edge of the rock where Cam and I are standing. Everyone stops screaming and trying to move and at once the rocks stop moving. Diego sighs. "Thank you!" I sigh and place my hands on my hips. With my movement and Diego's sigh the rocks start to tremble and shake once more. I jump into Cam's arms and let him hold me. "You know what, since we all are gonna die anyways let's just say things we want to get off our chests? Sound like a good idea? Okay Cam you go first." I look back at Cam, still holding onto him and wait for him to speak. "Amanda?" He swallows hard and grips me tighter. I nod. "Uh I'm sorry if I've been a complete idiot to you!" He shouts. I rise an eyebrow. "I've just always tried to impress you because, I LIKE YOU!" Ater his last words the rocks stop. "What?" Everyone shouts including me, surprised that Cam has liked me. "It's true I've liked you." "You me I wasted my time on-" Diego interiors me.
