Raising his hands in surrender, he shrugged. "Okay. I guess I'll stop bothering you now," Milo said, watching her tail as it flicked back and forth. "Sorry." He took a few steps backwards, then turned, with the intent to go back to his bench and keep reading.


JIM

Jim, deciding that he was tired of being followed, stepped onto his board and gave it full power, zooming through the crowds without regard to who he knocked over. The wind pulled through his hair and whipped past his face, and he had to resist the urge to shout with joy.

She watched him turn and walk away, keeping silent. She left out a small groan before following him slowly. She's could take the chance to run away, but he interested her. For starters, he hadn't called any officials to chase her for stealing yet.

He vaguely sensed her following him, but he didn't think much of it. Coming up on the bench he had vacated, Milo turned around and sat down, but instead of stretching his legs across the bench, he left the other seat open. Taking his book from underneath his arm, he opened it and continued reading, but was hyper aware of the girl.
