Nightfury easily kept pace with her, running ever so slightly behind her. He took a deep breath, the forest clearing his mind.

Nightfury stopped, looked up, then leaped. The branch rustled softly and he moved closer to the trunk of the tree.

Nightfury kept going until he reached a thick, wide branch about halfway up the tree. He paused, and sat down.

Nightfury nodded. He closed his eyes, the breeze ruffling his fur. He let his tail hang over the branch.

Nightfury shifted slightly so their pelts were brushing.

Nightfury smiled and rested his head on hers.

Larkbreeze glanced at Timberfang quizzically. I just said that, didn't I? She wondered to herself, before looking back at the leader and nodding. "If you'll let me, yes."
