Welcome to the Lil' Rascal Rattery!
Here at Lil' Rascals you'll find many stunning little rats that you can adopt, buy, sell, breed and show.
Varieties that can be found here include (but not limited to) dumbos, manx, standards and hairless rats. All the rats here will be found only with natural colours and markings, with the occasional little oddity popping up.

Fancy rats are curious little critters that make wonderful pets for people of all ages due to their affectionate and inquisitve natures. Much like dogs, rats are highly intelligent rodents that too can be trained to learn to do a number of amazing tricks. They're friendly, sociable animals that thrive on the companionship of both humans and other rats - if you plan on keeping them, it's highly recommended to get more than just the one.

Rules

• All of CS's rules apply
• Do no sell/trade your rats for any offsite currency.
• Please do not complain if you do not manage to get an import.
• There is no limit as to how many rats you may own at a time. The only limit is that you
  may only win two rats a day, maximum.
• Forms that contain a 'WIP' will be considered unfinnished and therefore will not be
  counted during judging.
• Do not ask to be staff. I will post a notice when I am good and ready to start hiring.
• If you no longer want your rats then please PM the original artist and/or myself
  so it can be put up for readoption.
• Treat everyone (staff and myself included) with respect.
• If you have a question or a query, please do ask! I don't bite, and I'll be happy to help =)
• More rules may be added when and if needed.

Imports

Imports are similar to customs in a sense that you can fill out a form specifying what colour, type, gender and marking you'd like, as well as the preferred artist (should they be available).
Using your desired traits as a basis, the artist will then create your rat. Afterwards a number generator will be used to randomly select the stats of your new critter.
Keep in mind that due to the nature of how these imports will work, you're not 100% guaranteed to get a rat that will be perfect for whatever you wish to use it for. For example, whilst some may end up with a rat who scores high in conformation, it may be mismarked or it may be faulted, and vice versa.

Each time the imports open, there will only be a limited number of slots with each person only being allowed one slot each. The number of imports per person will likely increase in the future, though for now each person may only have one (not including those purchased from other owners). Imports may of course be bred and shown like any other rat.

Requests

Requests are as they sound - rats with specific markings/colours/variations that have been requested. Anyone can post a request, however that does not mean the rat is automatically theirs. Instead, anyone may apply for it. Unlike imports, you may post a request form anytime.
Please keep in mind that Artists are not obligated to do requests if they do not wish. Please remember to try and keep requests as realistic as possible - no purple rats with green polka dots, please!

Yes, buying and selling will certainly be a possibility in the very near future. How purchases will go about is still something I'm tweaking, however.
At the moment I'm thinking that the owners of the rats can decide on the price they want for their rats, whether they would like to trade, pay using CS pets/items/etc, art or some other arrangement.

The only limit I think there will be for the time being is that rats cannot be bought for offsite currency/real money... but like I said, it's something I'm still working out =)
