It is indeed Robert Frost

'The woods are lovely; dark and deep' Robert Frost said that... Wait, was it? or was it Alfred Tennyson? Tomoko didn't really suppose it mattered, not really. Death was death no matter who you were. Why did it matter who's words summed it up the best.
This was no time for an existential crisis!
But did they sum it up best? Lovely, dark and deep? And so far all anyone in town had done was mourn the loss and put up lights. That was the opposite of lovely and dark.
This wasn't the time for questioning traditions either...
Maybe it was just him, Tomoko loved the dark and would much prefer to be in a lovely dark spot right now, like his bed covers. It was a Saturday morning after all. Of course, He'd met up with these people on a Saturday for a while now. Not that it made it any more of an enjoyable experience, just becoming familiar with something didn't necessarily mean that one was comfortable around it too. He liked these people, certainly. But was liking and being friends with the same thing? Tomo didn't think so.
He actually jumped a little bit when a voice rung out through the room. Turning, wide eyed, he looked over at Sachiko Hatoruma. And felt his right eye, twitch. It was safe to say they were fairly opposing personalities, without much between them other than the fact they were both human males. Sachiko was far too headstrong, a thrill seeker. Whereas Tomo wouldn't mind spending every day of his life tucked away, in his bed covers. Before he could stop it, his tongue broke free of the confines of his lips. "What exactly would we be able to accomplish that the authorities haven't already? We start sniffing around like mangy dogs and we're bound to get our noses bitten." He said, almost matter-of-factly. But not so much so that he might start a fight, Sachiko might not be his worst enemy, but they weren't friends. And Tomo doubted very much that if things turned confrontational, that he would stand much of a chance.

“No good!” whines a small voice as yet another sheet of crumpled up paper flew across the room in to a pile growing pile of discarded notes and drafts. Slumping back against her chair Makoto sighs before glancing over her shoulder at the mass of rubbish. Throwing herself on to the desk in front of her she loses her eyes and yet again sights; she was out of ideas- again. Pushing her desk and unfinished book away from her she gets to her feet, picks up a small bag and leaves through the front door. It took her a while to walk to town and get a coffee after all, the town was rather busy as of late. There were still whispers here and there about the murder. She hadn’t known the girl who had died very well but she was intrigued by this case; she was writing a murder/mystery/romance at the second and was sort of hoping to get some inspiration out of the mystery.

After walking around town for a little while longer before giving up on finding information and began her walk to the woods, the woods was her favourite place to go when she was suffering a case of writers block. With coffee and book in hand she followed the path till she found a small rusty bench beneath a great oak tree who’s branches hung low and swayed precariously in the wind. Taking a seat Dakota began to read through her newest published book; its name was the flower project a romance -obviously- and to be honest she was rather proud of it. It wasn’t very well known, then again none of her books were but it was by far her best work yet. Flicking through the pages she felt a shiver run down her spine, surprised by this she stood up, looking around her she saw nothing but even so she had the unnerving feeling that she was being watched.

Glancing down at her watch she noticed the time, “Oh god, if I don’t run I’ll be late to the meeting!” She mutters to herself before picking up her book and coffee and taking off at a fast jog. Arriving at the house where the writers were supposed to meet to find that she was late: again. “I’m sorry I’m late everyone, I lost track of time reading my book.” she explains “Don’t be so negative Tomoko!” Makoto scolds taking her place beside to two boys. “Did anyone find out anything interesting? I for one only found out about a club she went to… turns out it shut down a while ago but there were four other members they might know something.” The seventeen year old explains as she looks around the room. The pair of boys were total polar opposites and this made teamwork a little difficult at times but her and Hadley were there to keep the group together and so far they all made an excellent team. “SO did anyone else find any leads?” she then asks looking at her fellow writers in turn.

After a bit of arguments and discussion, Hatoruma finally convinced the writers to go and explore the case and they came across several suspicious people all going to the same place it wasn't just one or two people it was more like four or five. Hatoruma, who always wants excitement happening, followed them making sure to stay hidden long enough to figure out what they are doing or why they decided to gather like this away from the town. Maybe some sort of typical party or something is happening. Hatoruma then followed and hid in the brush careful not to disturb any of the leaves to get the group who are conversing's attention. Hatoruma smirked lightly and muttered to the other writers softly "Let's see what they are up to..." Hatoruma felt like snickering This should be very interesting. Interesting indeed. Unless it is boring then I would be very upset. Though a secret meeting only days from a murder? Very suspicious.

Unbelievable! Unbelievable! Of all the ill concieved ideas he'd put up with this was perhaps the stupidest. Wasn't this diverting the course of justice? Getting involved with police business. Though...was it still police business? Hadn't they given up looking for a murderer now? Tomo supposed that it must be hard to find the murderer of a teenage girl, He didn't know her, which meant to him that she was probably one of those popular girls with tonnes of friends an even more enemies. All Tomoko could think about was her poor family.
How had Sachiko roped him into this? His mother always called him a pushover... Maybe he was. He padded quietly behind the other boy, but when they reached their makeshift hiding spot he looked about. Bushes were not the most likeable hiding spot for him, he would much prefer not getting stabbe and pricked everytime he moved. So, Tomo used his tall stature to haul himself up into a low hanging tree branch. He didnt look like he had the upper body strength to pull himself up that high. He wasnt a tree climber, and he could feel his arms crying out in protest.
He settled down on a branch a little higher up, but thick enough to support his weight, where the cover of the leaves was enough to conceal him from view. Personally he didnt think terenwas much to this lead, the woods was a peaceful place, perfect for mourning the loss of a friend or even just relaxing, and trying to escape the dim atmosphere of the surrounding town. There was nothing suspicious to wanting to be away from all the sad townsfolk.

'Evie' - Seventeen
With the circle
At the circle's cabin
Feeling uneasy and
distraught

It only dawned on her now that the other three would be expecting her to speak. She could think of a million things to say. Though the thought of saying them made her want to slink back into the low hum of her spiritual presences. They sounded cliched, though every thought was genuine. "I'm glad you came, all of you." She tried her best to put some type of confidence behind her words, but she realized too late that it wouldn't work, as all she managed was a dull croak and a sad smile that made her feel sick. They all thought that they'd never see each other again, that things would end just like that. Evie had been the one to bring it all back up. She couldn't let Sybil's death dissipate, fade out. The town of Erebus would always remember it, but the problem was they might not have what it takes to find the truth. Evie wouldn't be able to stand herself if she let this go unsolved. Perhaps she found herself relieved that the others, Knox, Haru, Aurelia, everyone had shown up. "We thought we'd seen the last of each other I suppose, but, I couldn't let that happen." Not after everything Sybil had done, that much was true. Though her note didn't express some of her real reasoning behind gathering them here once more. "Sybil's, she was, murdered, we know that much." It took a moment to find the words and get them out, even if she spoke as slow as she was. "Things around here have felt different, not just about her being gone. The spiritual realm, something's off." As the sun sunk further behind the skyline, Evie began rubbing her arms as the chilled air skimmed them. "How about we head inside." She suggested. Evie needed a break from the talking for a moment. The others probably weren't too comfortable out in the cold either.

Knox - Seventeen
With the circle
At the circle's cabin
Feeling cautious
and suspicious

Most of the words that left Evie's mouth met his ears, but a few fell upon deaf ears. He knew she meant every word. Frankly if he hadn't been distracted he might have been fighting back tears by now. For some of it he was deliberately not paying attention. He'd cried enough for a week, even if that twinge of sadness would never leave. The other half of the time he couldn't shake the feeling that something was out there. Knox had felt it before, sensing eyes on his back or a presence other than his own. Maybe he was begin too cautious, he was known for that as well. His own parents have had to tell him not the worry so much. So he drew in a deep breath and resumed listening. Catching on about how the spiritual realm seemed off, Evie's abilities scared him sometimes, Knox wasn't an avid fan of ghosts. He took another glance around before taking on her suggestion to head inside before they froze. He moved at a quick pace towards the doors. Knox hesitated for a moment as he reached for the handle. This would be the first time he'd entered the building since their last meeting. One week felt like a lifetime ago. Not wanting to hold things up he opened it swiftly and entered, drifting to the living room to allow the others room to enter. It was sickly average. It made sense though, none of them had been inside for at least a week. Knox felt strange, he supposed he figured that it would've looked different since then. Everything was where they'd left it. Last week's meeting had taken a slight detour towards the final hour when the hot chocolate was brought out. Apparently winter meant something to witches. Instead of their usual magic shenanigans. They'd done a seasonal tarot reading for the five of them as a group. It had seemed insignificant then, but now he wished he'd remember what cards they had drawn.

Aurelia Celeste (2)

Date: October 9th | Mood: Sad | Performing: Stuff. | Tagged: The Circle

There was pure silence that settled on the four, after Haru decided to show up. The silence was quite unsettling, and no one knew exactly what to say, until Evie, the host, decided to speak. Aurelia couldn't really comprehend her words. They were just blurs and splutters of words that hit her ears. All she did was nod whenever she heard Evie speak. She shifted her weight to her other leg, just starting into the fall forest floor that consisted of dead leaves and dead grass, that really made no difference to her at the moment. "How about we head inside." Evie exclaimed. Aurelia snapped out of her trance and the speech that she made before finally came to her ears. She understood everything now. "Oh um er, yes, let's head in and discuss further matters." She smiled and took a step towards the door.

he was unmoved for the words that were hitting his mind- half were on her words and half was on sybil. the half that were on sybil were striving to feel her voice- a nice voice it had been. he had been quite jealous of it due to his rather low and soft voice but.. she had different vocal cords upon being a different gender so.. there was nothing-had been nothing- he could do. but now, the other half of his mind registered the words of going inside and a moment or two later he slowly nodded.. " of course.. " was all he had muttered before lingering a moment longer.. something was.. off. he could just sense more emotional fields but it was as if they were out of his reach- out of his own fields. muttering " peut-être que je me trompe .. ( " perhaps i am mistaken " in french. its a quirk of his- tending to speak french sometimes ) " and slowly walking towards the door- he probably was mistaken. his head was banging full of emotional radiant fields of sadness and some cautious feelings.. it just made the headache worse- yet it could be the headache and all the past memories of sybil, maybe he was just imagining.. yeah probably. walking through the doors that he had pushed open with one twist of his hand on the knob he was making his way to the living room- seeing knox in there his mind went from the male to the past meetings.. one of which they still had everyone. when one of them wasn't dead. he simply though turned his head downward and covered his face with the sleeve of his trench coat and arm- he was upset now. coming back here to not see the one teenager he had gotten closet to was smashing his heart to tiny bits and pieces. taking a moment with his sleeve and the struggle not to cry he raised his head back up and acted like the sleeve and covering his face didn't happen.. that's not what sybil would've wanted.. she'd probably want him to be strong for her- for this group and general. looking at knox who was on the other side of the room he gave a small nod and decided to try and talk yet only a few words came out- " hello knox.. glad to see that your doing okay.. " that was a lie. knox was upset and really on edge from what he understood. he couldn't blame the guy. knox was someone who had gotten close to sybil like him and was probably hurting all on the inside.

Sachiko Hatoruma jumped when the group decided to go inside of the building after a small heart warming speech and some odd words. Spiritual...Realm?...What do they mean by that? Hatoruma saw all of the group go into the building and he started to walk with them pausing a bit. Hatoruma was just looking for trouble by following them. Hatoruma then hissed to the other writer's "This is our big chance for excitement. Something other than a normal boring life-style. Days after a murder and they talk about a spiritual realm being disturbed? Obviously there has to be something up with that and I am going to find out so...what I am asking is...are you going to join me? Join me in a quest to find some meaning in this murder...as a writer...and possibly find who had killed her? I mean who else is going to find the answers other than a group of curious humans like ourselves?" Well mostly me...most of them wouldn't have come here if I didn't argue so much for them to come with. Hatoruma then hissed "Let's go." With that he used a stealth sneaking on his tip toes avoiding leaves to not make a sound as he entered the building after the group staying in the darkness to not be found.

Either Sachiko was extremely lucky, or he had one incredible sense of smell. Tomo crouched closer to the branch he was balancing on like a lizard, keeping his body low and his limbs sticking out at his sides rather comically. When one of the members of the other group turned, he allowed small gasp past his lips and crouched lower, pressing his chest down against the cool wood beneath him, hoping that the browning leaves were numerous enough to shield him from view. He'd have a hard time explaining this is they were spotted.
He could hear what they were saying well enough, something about the murder, and that they knew it was indeed that. And something about the spiritual realm? Great. They'd followed all the loonies into the woods it seemed. For all they knew that cabin was their dastardly lair and the small band of writers were about to become their next victims. Sniffing around had been a bad idea after all.
His dark, thoughtful eyes found Sachiko when he started to speak, and the sneer on his face was obvious even though Tomo couldn't feel himself making it. He snorted through his nose, a gesture his mother would have swatted his head for if she'd of heard it, then spoke his case. "For all we know they're the killers! Bunch of hippy weirdos appeasing some false God." He spat bitterly. Even though as a poet, he might be considered that himself. "They might be luring us in."
Not that any of this stopped him from lowering himself from the tree, like a vine creeping to the floor in almost absolute silence.

Damn this curiosity.

hadley mori rose - the free form writer [1]

Postby saturns. » Fri Oct 31, 2014 8:43 am

HADLEY MORI ROSE
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓
feeling;; agitated-freezing her bum off location; near the cabin/laying in itchy grass tagged;; writer's club
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛
Hadley sprawled herself on the crunchy leaf sprinkled grass, her head and body ducked low and hidden by the shade of the trees, all of which hid the rest of the writers club in some odd fashion. She propped her elbows up to bring the binoculars to her eyes, and began to study the group of the odd fellow students who they had secretly followed all the way out to the middle of the forest to some isolated cabin. Which in all honesty was already kinda suspicious.

The only reason the writers had even bothered to follow this little group was because they seemed to be pretty close with the girl, Sybil who had been mysteriously murdered. No one seemed to have any leads, and since the town hadn't had anything so serious happen to it in over a decade, she assumed the police weren't entirely sure how to take hold of this situation. Which, for some extremely odd reason, the writer's club had thought that they should take the situation into their own hands, even though they were in no way, shape, or form qualified to follow through with an investigation of a serious and mysterious murder case. So of course, Hadley thought it was an absurd idea at first, but after a while she just decided to go along with it - Plus, she assumed that the writer's group would need her wits, bravery, and leadership qualities to properly carry through with this secret investigation anyways.

Hadley's guess was that Sybil was probably last seen with this group of four fellow students, who all seemed to be oddly close. She had spoken to a few of them before, but based on her memory she was pretty sure that whatever she said to them was probably not the friendliest thing, considering she was never one to put a fake and friendly upfront with anyone. (Except her parents of course.)

Hadley continued to watch the odd little group as they all stood in a a very unformed circle, all looking rather uncomfortable and teary eyed. Three of them just stood as one girl, who Hadley had forgotten the name of, (even though she was pretty sure she had a taken a class with her before) spoke. But to her dismay, she was to far away to hear what she was saying. The only thing she could really tell from her spot far away in the grass, was that the girl and the other three were very uncomfortable.
Suddenly the group started to head into the abandoned little cabin. Hadley gave an agitated snicker, before lowering her binoculars from her eyes. She was starting to become irritated at the lack of information they had so far received.

"How are we ever supposed to know what's going on if we can't even hear them?" she whispered harshly to the others, who were all most likely hidden somewhere around her. "All we really know so far is that they're a bunch of creeps who are meeting at a freaky little cabin in the middle of the forest."

She stood up, knowing that they were safe from being spotted since the mysterious group were entering the little cabin. She brushed the dried leaves off of her sweater, and ran her hands through the loose part of her side ponytail to take out all of the seeds that had fallen off the tree and into her hair. "Not only am I freezing and itchy from this stupid grass, but we've been trampling all around the forest for the past half hour and haven't heard or seen anything truly useful for our investigation." she said, glancing around for the others who she spotted starting to ease out of their hiding places. She put her hands on her hips in a determined manner, and raised her chin a little higher. "We've already followed these freaks this far, so we might as well follow through with this. I say we sneak up to the cabin. Maybe there's a window or something we can peek through, because I'm not leaving until we find some useful information." Hadley said, assuming the others would automatically agree. "And Sachiko, don't be such an idiot. We can't just wander into the cabin; they'll surely see us. You have to be more stealthy with this kinda thing." she barked, before she threw a quick stare over her shoulder at the cabin.
