Stranac Dragons are a strange new discovery in the world
or animals that inhabit Earth. Strangely enough these
creatures seem to hold no resemblance to their reptilian
name sake as they are mammals and are doned with fur.
Stranac Dragons are small nocturnal creatures found on the
open ground of most arctic regions though they are often
hard to find as they spend most their time under ground
or hidden in the sparse brush. These "dragons" can come in
any assortment of colors though the lighter the coat the
rarer the Dragon.

The first Welcome to Night Vale themed Stranac Dragon up for adoption: Cecil!
To adopt Cecil, I'd like you to explain his relationship to my newest custom, Carlos, as well as give him a short personality. His personality and relationship with Carlos does not have to be based on Welcome to Night Vale {it can be based completely on Night Vale if you want, I was just stating that it isn't required to be}, however I would prefer if you have at least listened to a few of the episodes when trying out. {Carlos' personality is the same as in Night Vale}

Name: Cecil

Personality: Cecil, most of all, is loyal; to his community; to his friends; and especially to Carlos – perfect Carlos - but more on that later. His loyalty is from growing up with those people, and having made connections all his life with them. The majority of them are happy to gossip to him about who and what, and events and strange things that are happening as Cecil enjoys using them as inspiration, as well as passing it onto other people, and keeping everyone up to date on each other. Sometimes it seems as if he was trying to bind the town together with only words and truths.

While there is a border between him and the world, such as his headphones, Cecil can bound between topics and weave magnificent creations that will keep other Stranacs awake at night, thinking of plastic bags like feral dogs and sentient clouds that change colour and smell of vanilla: and maybe if those Stranacs try to explain to friends about how curious and odd and weird and fascinating those stories are, they would most likely fail unless Cecil told those friends himself in his strangely deep voice about his fabricated truths and ideas. However, without a wall between himself and others, without his back up of ideas about shapes in the park and the materials of drawbridges, when he needs to be normal, he occasionally stutters and is absurdly hyperactive, and would much prefer to be watching cat videos underneath a certain Stranac’s lab coat.

Upon confronted with strangers – with the exception of a select few – Cecil can be suspicious and paranoid, due to the small community he grew up with and their behavior with strangers. He can also be very stubborn with some of his truths and beliefs (‘Pens should be illegal!’).

Relationship with Carlos: Continuing from my previous, previous thought about loyalty, Cecil is very loyal, and Carlos takes place over everything - after all, he fell in love instantly, as soon as Cecil saw him, as soon as Carlos smiled. At first, in the beginning, Cecil didn't push himself on Carlos - well, other then telling anyone who would listen to how beautiful perfect Carlos was - and feared that perhaps he was pushing Carlos even more away from him with his enthusiasm to help Carlos if he ever had need of spreading the word on important science-y stuff. However, Cecil didn't stop; fearing even more that Carlos wouldn't understand how grateful he was to help him! (After all, it isn't like poor Carlos heard Cecil's chattering about him from other people, right?)

Eventually, after much ado, after years just a year, no matter how long it seemed to Cecil (though he would wait a million years if need be, he would have said dramatically if someone had asked) they ended up staring up into the void and the mysterious lights above the Arby's; and that was that.

Even still, Cecil is loyal to Carlos. Occasionally Carlos will be so into his work he would forget about dates, which annoys Cecil, but he understands - he is very into science these days. And besides, Cecil isn't a flawless lover himself; while he refuses to miss dates even to the ire of the Stranacs who need his intel, he is dedicated to learning things, and helping Stranacs with knowing the what-is-going-on-today? knowledge and doesn't always see Carlos as much as either of them would like.

Carlos does try his best to juggle their life and his science, and succeeds for the most part - and Cecil definitely takes priority over science - he loves Cecil just as much as Cecil loves him, but Carlos isn't the most social out of academic conversations, so sometimes he struggles to portray that. However, he definitely tries to make it up to Cecil when he makes mistakes, and forgives Cecil for his occasional suffocating enthusiasm and his tendency to tell everyone how his life is going and the majority of details of how his and Cecil's relationship was going.

My apologies for the last para being about Carlos and his relation with Cecil, but without it I don't think I showed up some of Cecils flaws, and Cecil is definitely not perfect!

Cecil is a good talker, he knows what's going on and is not afraid to tell you the truth, unless he's getting paid for other. Well, Cecil is flawless and ejoy telling you what to do, he hates a certain person, but did not allow me to mention his name even if it is Steve Carlsberg. Cecil is earily distracted and can keep on talking about what he'd like until someone sticks a note up his nose telling him to stop due to bug consequenses of his talking. Oh Cecil, you wonderful fool. Cecil have a dark and calm voice, You could just have it in your background to make you feel safe, ou could sleep in to it, or you could dissapear into a zombie lookalike void of drool when you're sitting in your bed listening to him. He like cats and wouldn't mind getting one of his own.

Oops, I forgot to mention some things. They're just simple things, so don't worry.

So for one, just some things to expect from me if you win: I will be drawing lots of ship art. Lots. Because ship art is the best. And you will most likely receive a pm from me asking if you'd like to role-play. Because that would be cool if you would.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Cecil is a rare Stranac Dragon because his coat is light. I'll have to talk to Vexy about this, and if it is allowed, but for now I'm pretty sure that he's rare.

While I love Cecil, I positively adore Kevin, and I would redraw my form from Cecil as it would be highly unlikely to win both Cecil and Kevin, as lucky as that would be! So I was wondering if I had got that right that you might be making Kevin?

Well, I might be making Kevin, but I haven't decided yet. It's actually more likely that I won't make him, because my idea was that if there are enough entries on Cecil, he would be a runner up for this competition. And the two forms that there are right now, really isn't enough. If I get enough people really wanting me to make Kevin as a regular adopt, I may consider it, but making that would not be preferred for me, because I'd be messing up the number system, since I've already said that these are #13 - 16. I also don't know too much about Kevin, since I've only listened to 1 1/2 episodes with him in it. So that would make things a little bit more complicated. Sorry if it's disappointing, but I would rather make him as a runner up for Cecil.

personality; cecil is a cryptic, mysterious stranac dragon, the voice of their little town of horrors and fears called night vale. he is particularly fond of the place as he grew up in the town his whole life, and he never mentions ever leaving the town, either. they say he hides a third eye under his hair, as he is usually telling things in the moment as they happen during his broadcasts. he is familiar with those in the town, and is generally friends with most of them; he takes pleasure in occasional gossip and words on them in the broadcasts. since he was fifteen he began imitating radio show hosts and undertook an internship at this young age, and eventually became the voice of night vale himself. he seems to be socially inept by choice, preferring to be conserved and kept-to-himself most of the time, with the exception of when he's with carlos - his sweet, sweet carlos. emphasis on 'his'. cecil is neutral, neither too friendly or too cruel, but he has potential to harm others like he found himself on the verge of doing when carlos's perfect, soft locks of gorgeous hair were resentfully snipped by telly the barber. despite cecil's usually-composed persona, sometimes he falls apart with no control of it. his emotions may run too high and he will be unable to contain them. usually he keeps this side of him a large secret but he has trusted some with this side and prefers it not to be brought up again. he claims his best attribute is his voice, as it has the smoothness of silk and enjoys serenading others with it. especially carlos. heck, 'carlos' could be a personality trait in itself by how much he shows a fondness towards his extremely beloved boyfriend. relationship with carlos; carlos is the light of cecil's world, the man who changed everything in his previously-dormant heart. he taught cecil that if he would ever find himself caught in a void to look for the brightness, because that would be carlos shining brightly and ready to help him out. carlos is not cecil's world, he is his universe. cecil knew he fell in love instantly with the scientist; when he first arrived in town, a jolt ran through the tips of his toes and to his nose, and he knew something changed. he demanded to meet the other stranac dragon instantly, and that he did: he would find himself out in front of the community radio station, talking and laughing with the newcomer of the town. there wasn't really any other word to describe it: cecil knew it was love. he fell in love instantly, in the way the corners of carlos's lips quirked up after saying a joke or something amusing as he waited for the other to laugh, with the way his hair fell into his face and with a faint look of irritation hiding behind his eyes he pushed it aside, with the way he smoothed his lab jacket against him whenever a small wrinkle became prominent in the pristinely white fabric. everything about carlos was perfect, and cecil was in love; he was so far in love and he couldn't find a moment he wasn't imagining what carlos's hair would feel like, what he would feel like to hug; he even imagined wearing that lab coat and breathing in the sole scent of the male he loved and adored with all of his heart.

there were many firsts in everything for them: the first time cecil began speaking so affectionately about his head-over-heels crush, the first time they went out for coffee at three am on a tuesday night, and stayed up until ten am before heading back to carlos's place and falling asleep wrapped around each other (but carlos jolted awake in not more than ten minutes panicking about work); the first time they decided they were together. and that was the first and last time as they didn't break up; they couldn't. there was also the first time cecil breathed "i love you, carlos. i love you so much" into his warm, and perfectly soft hair when he thought the other was asleep in his arms, only to have the scientist move and squirm up so that they were face-to-face and he whispered: "thought you would never say it; i love you too."

there was also the first time they fought. carlos was yelling about being self-dependent as a scientist, and how he could pick up and move tomorrow and everything would be over, and cecil was yelling back, screaming "i love you" and "you are my entire world" and "my perfect carlos, please calm down". cecil was the one to flee, not wanting his boyfriend to see the tears rolling down his cheeks, but later that night, right before his broadcast, he earned a voicemail on his phone from his boyfriend: 'hey cecil, it's carlos. i know you're probably infuriated with me.. but i was wrong. no matter where i go, i still want you. it'll always be you. cecil, please. forgive me.' and after his broadcast somehow they found themselves cuddling on carlos's couch over a bowl of potato chips watching the stupidest soap opera but they were too in love and too focused on helping each other and loving each other to even care about the show.. or the chips, for that matter.

it's the little things about carlos that always drive cecil mad. the way he always finds himself insecure about the smallest things, the way he blushes when cecil tells him not to cut those perfect locks, and every little smile, every kiss, every touch makes him fall more and more in love. cecil wants to be with carlos forever. he wants to show him the glow cloud and kiss under an umbrella as poor small animals rain from the sky; he wants to show him the velociraptors and keep him safe from studio management. maybe those aren't satisfactory ideas for dates... okay, scratch those. all cecil needs is carlos, and he wants the other to feel the same. love isn't common in the heart of cecil, but somehow, all of it is towards carlos. every last bit.

"i love you more than night vale itself," cecil once said.
carlos only laughed in reply: that beautiful, beautiful laugh. "then i love you more than science."
