Young Mi was walking through a field, whinnying and playing. Now that she was alone, Angel could be as foolish as she wanted to. Her tail streamed behind her sending heat scent in waves. She was looking for a stallion, but not right away. The white shire called out for a stallion, but if nohorse answered, it wouldn't bother her any. Winter was no way close, so there was no reason for her to become desperate. She began to walk once again, to under a tree. The blazing sun was making her hot, and she needed to cool down. Her brown eyes scanned the area for any males that had heard her. Nothing. She called once more, except louder.

The stallion snorted gently. Now he was getting irritated. Where were all the mares? He reared, screeching and rushing into a gallop. He was sick of being alone. Spirit was close to three years old, and 17.3 HH, he was a big boy. The stallion ran across the plains, snorting. Finally, he came to a sight he liked to see. Though there was also a stallion near the mare, he'd surely cut in there to make sure he didn't get her without a fight. The stallion galloped down, stopping and rearing with a squeal. Spirit slammed his hooves, his feathered feet flowing. The tan stallion was ready, his muscle rippling and pelt shining in the bright sun.

The young mare smiled as the filly stood up, seeming happy to see their arrival. The mare knew well of this time of year, as already being in the wild as of last year. Though most horses had escaped this season, Miss was an "early bloomer." She was here for last spring, though not much had happened as she was far too young. She gave another nicker to the filly, then finally bowed her head in hello, and shook out her mane as she listened to the young filly's words. "Well, I am Bloody Mistake, and this is Mirror Images. And no, as most ask, he is not my real son." She said with a gentle smile. Though Mistake was rude to most horses, young colts and fillies held a soft spot in her heart, as it did for most mares. Her tail flicked, sending out a shallow, hardly noticeable heat, though it still made her cautious for other stallions, or even colts. To Mistake's surprise, a voice came from her right, making her jump, startled. She turned to see a colt, just a little younger than she. She watched him, listening to his words, "Hm. Yes . . We are." She said quietly, now, her true personality showing. The real Bloody Mistake was wreaking to be surfaced. She stepped away, knowing a one year old colt could do nothing to her foal, but she wouldn't allow him to even get close. She snorted gently, awaiting his next comment.

Mirror quietly watched from his "mother's" side, his ears pricked tall, and eyes wide as he watched the pretty mare. His small tail flicked, and a smile grew to his maw. What was this feeling the young colt had? He shook his short mane, and looked to his "mother" as she introduced him. He gave a nicker to the filly, then went off to play with a leaf that blew from the trees. Soon, he felt Mistake's body pressed against his, making him freeze quickly. He perked up, seeing another colt, a year older than him, appear from no where, though he was sure he'd surely come from somewhere. Mirror watched the colt, and his mother converse, snorting gently.
