"And good luck with that bulbasaur," Zero said. "I hope it gets better soon." He set off towards the gym, Lockdown still by his side.

[Boomer]

Ash nodded a little and went into the Pokemon Center. Alessa whined a little, as she wasn't a fan of the Pokemon Center. Ash went to the counter and gave the Bulbasaur to Nurse Joy. She then lifted Alessa up and a Chansey took her. They went into the back with them.

As Zero headed to the gym, a flash of light caught his eye. He stopped walking and went over to examine it. It was a TM- a small blue disc. he couldn't tell what it was currently, but he had his suspicions, and if he was right, It would prove very beneficial later on. He tucked the disc into his TM case and continued walking.

[Boomer]

Ash went for a walk, knowing it would take a little while before they were ready. She went back into the forest and wandered around mindlessly.

"Alright Lockdown, use Conversion!" Zero was locked in battle with Brock. He had taken down the other trainers waiting for him easily, but the Gym leader was proving to be a bit tougher. Lockdown's body shimmered and turned purple, which played perfectly into Zero's plan. Now the power of Psybeam would be amplified, which would give him the edge he needed to take out Brock's Onix.

[Boomer]

Ash continued on her walk and sighed happily. She heard something rustling in the trees, then something dropped onto her head. Ash cried out in shock, then looked up. A Caterpie had fallen out of the tree and landed on her. It squeaked some and curled up on her head. "Uh, hi there... little buddy." she said.

The battle was nearing its close. Both Lockdown and Brock's Onix were on their last slivers of health. In that moment, Zero knew he had won. Thanks to an early-game Agility, Lockdown was faster than Onix, and a STAB Psybeam would be more than enough to win him the match. "Lockdown, take us home with Psybeam!" A multicolored beam of light lanced from Lockdown's eyes and into the body of Onix. The snakelike pokemon gave one final roar of defiance, then collapsed. Zero shook hands with Brock, collected his badge, and went to the museum to wait for Ash.

Ash headed back to the Pokemon Center, hoping the two would be done. She went to the counter and collected the two Pokemon. "Thanks Nurse Joy!" she said, rushing outside and heading to the museum. Alessa and the Bulbasaur followed right behind Ash.

As Zero approached the museum, a flash of light once again caught his eye. This time, however, it was a Ferroseed lying discarded on the side of the road. Zero walked over and inspected it. It was badly hurt, its metal body was scrached and dented, and many of it's spikes were broken or missing. Zero quickly dug a Potion out of his backpack and sprayed the pokemon with it. He then scooped the pokemon up, being careful not to poke himself with any of its still-intact spikes, and rushed to the pokemon center.

Ash stopped as she saw Zero rush by. "Zero!" she called, running after him. Alessa and the Bulbasaur turned and followed Ash. Ash caught up with Zero and looked at the Pokemon in his arms. "Awe, poor little thing..." she said sadly.
