When he was about to start reading again, he noticed a girl with white hair put her hand on another girl's head, then walk away, admiring something small and shiny in her hand. Crinkling his brow, Milo shut his book and tucked it under his arm, then walked toward the girl. She looked to be a little bit older than he was. He tapped her shoulder.

"Excuse me?" Milo said, pushing his glasses farther up his nose.

Jim felt the girl's fingers slip into his pocket. He glanced at her hand as she disappeared into the crowd, chuckling when he noticed that she had fallen for his fake purse filled with fake currency. Still laughing, he stepped onto his board and weaved his way through the crowd. Glancing down at his mechanical arm, he checked the pocket watch embedded in his wrist. He was late.

When she felt someone tap her shoulder and speak, her hand instinctively when onto her gun, her mechanical cat ears shooting up. Seeing it wasn't an official, and just a stranger, she took a breath, bringing both hands behind her back. "Yes, is there a problem, sir?" she asked, exaggerating the sir, and innocently batting her eyelashes.

When the girl turned around, it was like he got hit with a crap ton of charm. He stepped back, a little awe-struck, and stammered for a second.

"Uh-um," Milo readjusted his grip on the book. "I, uh, well, I don't want to sound, um, accusatory, but um, did you just take that girl's hair pin?" He spat out the last sentence as quickly as he could.

She eyed the shops that held jewelry and sighed gently. She was silently debating on going back to her shop and cleaning up. She huffed; as her indecisive mind remained, and looks around at the pedestrians around her.

She smiled at his reaction, trying not to chuckle. "Oh, this?" she asked, holding out the pin, but making sure she had a tight grip on it. "I may have or may not. Why would you like to know?" She flicked her fake tail, trying to look for an escape route, whilst keeping a calm posture and smile.
