Wild Mountain Equid Role Play

Meredith laid in the tall grass of the pasture with other equids. Her herd-mate, Zoe, was nearby, she'd never go far. They were very close, almost like siblings. This was one of the only times you'd see Meredith not chatting up a storm, it was just the sound of the wind through the grass, and the occasional whinny from the others.

Zoe slept with her back to Meredith. There was a cool breeze blowing through the night, she eventually drifted to sleep. She dreamt about running through the lush fields with her herd, galloping through streams and smiling. It was a very nice dream for Zoe, she always wanted everyone to be happy.

Gavreel frowned, the equid either hadn't heard him or wasn't interested. He shrugged and made his way back to the dusty deer trail. He continued to descend, reaching the edge of the woods. He looked around at the fenced in paddocks a little ways a way, ears perking when he saw some equids. Going to say hi couldn't hurt, could it? He smiled to himself and trotted towards the nearest equids.

Mellow:
I was surprised to see the equid leave and figured he simply didn't want to be bothered. I headed the other way so as not to have a second awkward encounter with the male. I walked up a hill and just a little ways down the hill I saw two equids sleeping. I watched them quietly for a bit, one of them looks content, perhaps a happy dream, and the other I couldn't see as her back was too me.

Nema:
I looked over and saw a wild equid come near my pasture fence. "I'll see you later" I said to the mare before she could respond and half trot, half walked to the edge of the fence looking the equid up and down as I approached him.

The autumn sun warmed the morning air as birds chirped overhead, signaling the day had begun. A dark figure shifted in the shadows and leaves rustled under small hooves. A few equids had gathered near by and a short from the woods could be heard. Why was she always disturbed? The mare emerged from the trees and stepped into the sunlight. Her frame was small and dainty, and her coat as dark as ashes. Scars littered her lower body but her eyes were bright and alert. She glanced toward the stallion and mare nearby and rolled her eyes. There seemed to be no escape from her own kind. However deep in her heart she yearned for someone, anyone, to notice her and care for her.

Maria grazed peacefully in the pasture with the other equids. Her dark coat was faintly illuminated by the golden rays of the sun which were slowly climbing up the morning sky. A particular equid in particular caught her attention as they squealed in protest when the humans led her away from the stalls. Maria's odd purple eyes shined with amusement as the other mare trotted to the least muddiest spot in the pasture, which wasn't too far from where she herself was standing right now, clearly showing her discomfort. "Don't go outdoors much?" Maria whinnied, tilting her head to the side a little as she spoke.

Priscilla snorted "Too much actually. I'd much rather be in my nice warm stall anytime." She glanced out at the other equids in the pasture and couldn't understand how they could be so comfortable right now.

Meredith shifted her weight a little, careful not to disturb Zoe. She smelt the air a bit, smelling another quid not too far away. She looked around, trying to spot a tall horse-like figure. She finally turned her head in Zoe's direction, spying the equid. She tried to see if the new equid was a girl or boy, but when she decided female, Meredith made a bit of a noise to let her know they were friendly.

Zoe continued to dream, she pictured the herd making all sorts of noises and whinnies. She fidgeted a little, tucking her nose under her tail fluff, dozing off again.

Mellow:
I saw the mares sign of friendliness and stepped foreword a bit curiously. I looked at her and smiled wondering if she would get up and leave her friend.

(Skyfox, I would reply but mellow isn't in that area anymore^^)

"Don't you like being free? At least for a while?" Maria asked curiously. She felt a bit confused to why the other equid disliked the outdoors so much. It was nice out here in the open grass: It felt like she was in the wild again, away from humans. The thought of living in the wilderness, away from the enclosed stalls and fences here made her sigh with longing.

"I have no urge to be free. The wild is well... wild. Who would groom you and keep all your white spots sparkiling?" Priscilla confessed as she nodded to her own white markings and how clean they were.
