But they still won't.

In case you have no idea what the problem is, they hate homestuck and won't even try it.

I need a way to trick them into the fandom.

Any suggestions?

To be honest, you can't exactly trick people into reading a 6000 + page story. Rather than trying to trick them, maybe convince them by telling them possible pros to them reading it? If all fails I wouldn't push it, or they could become annoyed.

They dont have to read it, they can just watch videos of the story on YouTube.

I saw this thing on tumblr where this person told homestuck's plot epic-ly.
like they said: " these kids have to play a game where they create a universe. they have to defeat an army to over throw the king, but along the way they accidentally create a monster out of one of the enemies. they also meet a race of aliens whose lives are ruled with fighting and death, but they team up to try to win the game to become gods of a new universe. and so on and so forth.

i dunno, that's not really what they said, but the point is it was homestuck without all the shenanigans.
if you take away a bunch of stuff, homestuck actually sounds like a incredible story with a rad plot.
(don't use my example, it is terrible. make a cooler one.)
