Trevor is your typical country boy, born
and raised on his daddy's farm, plowing
fields and taking care of the cattle. He
is generally out in the fields, though when
when a rodeo is close by you better believe
he is there. He rides bulls for extra cash,
and for adrenaline, which he wont admit.
He can be pretty nice, though he does
have a mean streak in him. He has two
horses, Whiskey Dancer which he barrel
races with and Dukes of Hazard, which is
just his pleasure riding horse.

Whiskey Dancer, or simply Dancer, is a
is a six year old mare. She is half quarter
horse and thoroughbred. Her sire is King
of the Hill, her dam was Chesapeake.
Dancer is a sweet mare that can get along
with pretty much anyone and thing, she
can scare a bit easy. Another fault is that
when she is stuck in a stall all day, she
starts to weave her head from side to
side, which isn't really a bad thing, but
can get very annoying after a while. She
has never been bred and Trevor doesn't
really plan on it. Dancer is a barrel racing
horse, born and raised. She came to Trevor
when she was Two years old.

Dukes of Hazard is a whirl wind in himself.
He defiantly isn't a horse you'd put a
beginner on, that for sure. Duke is known
for bucking and biting, even his own owner
has the scars to prove it. Duke can be nice,
but that only really when he wants to.
Duke is pretty nice with other horses,
its really just people he doesn't get along
with. Duke has that take charge personality,
and isn't easy to work with at all, causing
most to not even want to be around the
stallion. He calms down after a while though.
Duke is an pure bred American paint.
His sire was Gemwel's keeper, and his
dam was white lily.

Devlyn, or Dev as she insists, is a Seven-
teen year old female. She was actually
born in a small town, but not in the
country. She didn't move until she was
Twelve, but she fit right in at the country
scene. Since then, Dev has grown into a
fire cracker, ready to blow at the drop
of a hat. Sure, she is a very nice girl, but
her friends know differently. She is defiantly
a do now think later type girl, which has
and continues to give problems in her
life. But honestly, Dev wouldn't change
a single thing in her life. Her horse is Cassiel

Cassiel the angel, or Cass for short, is a
mixed breed with Clydesdale and Thorough
bred. She is currently ten years old, and
has foaled three times. Cass is just used
for pleasure riding, she was once a work
horse but since she was growing in age,
she was retired and that was how Devlyn
got her. Devlyn is a well trained mare, and
is generally well behaved, but every horse
has those days were they are up to no good,
and Cass is no different. Cass has a bad
habit of chewing the wood on her stall,
or any wood really. It's something that
Dev is working with the mare with, knowing
it could mess of Cass' teeth something serious.

Duke Massey & Roxy; Jenny Granton & Captain + Vi

Postby OutFoxed » Tue Oct 14, 2014 10:27 am

    Image
    Name: John "Duke" Massey
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Hair Color: Light Brown
    Eye Color: Hazel
Personality: Laid back and easy going, Duke is always looking for a good time. He's always got something going on - some event or party or place-to-be. It doesn't help that he was diagnosed with ADHD when he was really little. Total southern country boy - loves to play in the mud, work on his truck, bonfire by the riverside - all with proper gentleman manners. Non-confrontational, Duke isn't aggressive or easily angered. He's cool as a cucumber and would rather have a fun time than fight. In competitions is the sole time that he is completely focused on the task at hand. At the barn and when riding, he is always pulling a prank or goofing off. What's wrong with a little fun?
History:Duke was born on the twenty-eighth of August and became the middle child of three, the sole boy. With two sisters only a year older and younger than him, they all grew up incredibly close to each other - not without the extreme bouts of annoying each other and supreme, house-rattling fights. Coming from a long line of southerners with deep roots, the Massey children were subjected to etiquette training, going to balls and anything else their mother deemed 'A proper young person must know'. This list included but not limited to: Playing classical instruments, riding horses, playing golf, art classes, and debate clubs. Duke was also subjected to excel in sports throughout his schooling; Football team, baseball team, cross country running team, ski team. Being so good-natured , he put up with it all but jumped at the chance to get away from his family for a little while at least. He missed the school cut off date by only a couple of days so he'll be among the older students in his senior year.
When the three Massey's first were approached with idea of riding at the ages of 7, 8 & 9 - their mother had visions of them riding showy horses saddleseat. Duke put a stop to those ideals when he found the world of jumping; the higher the better. His riding career started out with a few walk lessons every once in a while - every other month or so. And it wasn't until he spent the summer at his aunt and uncle's small farm that he really paid attention to riding. After the summer of learning how to fall off the plunky pony, and another year dedicated to learning 'proper' things, Duke finally toke an interest in jumping horses. At fourteen, he leased a warmblood at his Aunt's for the summer and worked hard, eventually showing the last three weekends, and coming home with a blue among the reds and yellows. At sixteen, he had saved enough money to pay for a horse, and went through the selecting process until he found Roxy.

    Image
    Name: Jennifer Granton, Jenny
    Age: Seventeen
    Gender: Female
    Hair Color: Auburn
    Eye Color: Dark Blue
    Body Modifications: Ears pierced
Personality: Often described by her relatives as more of an 'animal-person than a people-person', Jenny is kind, considerate and caring. She loves animals of any species, from whales, opossums and even spiders. She loves being outside, or at least anywhere away from the claustrophobic confines of school or home. The only time her nose is in a book, is when she's looking up something to do with animals and their care-taking. Jenny is strongly opinionated but rarely speaks her mind - rather action over speech. If she sees someone in need, she'll do whatever she can to help and is usually the first to get there. Adventure should be her middle name; unexplored places are a calling. The dark isn't to be feared but just another way to experience what can be done in the light. She doesn't party, or hang out with a crowd - actually she gets really anxious in a crowd, especially when she doesn't know anyone. Horses are her passion. She becomes fearless when on the back of her horse.
History: She grew up in the rural part of town, just right on the edge between extreme country and extreme city. For years she begged for a pony, even going so far as to redesign the garden shed to house the small equine and writing up a schedule to show how she would be the sole keeper and caretaker of the pony. Her older brother was too busy with playing club soccer and dating girls to ever care about his younger sister by four years. Growing up, stray and injured animals often found themselves in the gentle grace of small kind hands. From fledgling birds she guarded from pesky cats during the spring to a bandy legged fawn and doe digging for grass shoots during a harsh winter, Jenny did her best to care for each animal that came her way. She was aided in her love for animals by the fact that her parents ran and worked at one of the towns veterinary clinics. Her mother worked primarily large animals while her father worked with the smaller ones at the clinic. On one of Mrs. Granton's routine farm visits, she happened upon an abandoned farm after hearing complaints from neighbors. She found two horses in severe need of help and TLC. After their rescue it was found that they were part of a PMU operation, both mares in late stages of pregnancy by the time they were found and soon gave birth at the clinic. All four horses survived after round the clock care to fight the diseases and illnesses the mares were suffering from as well as bring them back to condition - having been found at near starvation and parasite infected. All this happened when Jenny was eleven. On her twelfth birthday, her parents let her adopt the bay colt for her own. Five years later, Captain and Jenny are a formidable pair with an amazing bond.

Carlotta Dover
Image
Nickname: Carlotta likes her name and all, but after somebody pointed out rather rudely that it sounds old fashioned and doesn't suit her much, she took up the nickname of Lotta. She's grown to love the nickname, and unless she has given you permission to refer to her as anything else, she won't answer to any other name.
Age: She's currently sixteen.
Gender: Female.
Birthday: Her birthday falls on the tenth of November, so she's a Scorpio when we're talking about starsigns.
Origin: Lotta was born somewhere in Florida, and lived with a distant relative until the relative died, leaving her in an orphanage. She despised the regulations and rules she was made to obey as she has always been wild, and so she ran away and was picked up by the circus.
Nationality: Lotta's very much American, though she speaks Spanish fluently as well as English.

Personality
Lotta is generally a sweet girl who does her best to get along with those around her, but unfortunately, this doesn't always work out. She has a very fiery temper that flares up in seconds and can last anywhere between thirty seconds and three days. Fortunately, her rages tend to cool down as quickly as they began, but by the time she is finished she'll have insulted you so quickly in spanish that you'll be left confused. Lotta is very considerate about the feelings of others, but if they have upset her or one of her friends, that consideration goes out of the window. She's a wild card, you never really know what she'll do next, and she's rather feisty; she has been known to fights both boys and girls, and is surprisingly strong. Lotta is secretly a hopeless romantic, but as of yet has never had her first kiss, nor has she even had a real boyfriend. {Her personality will mostly just play out in the roleplay.}

Likes
Lotta likes anything romantic, whether it's books, films, conversations, you get the picture. She loves to spend time with her horse, Sakura, as she feels like her horse is her most trusted friend and the best listener that she has ever met in her life. Her favourite chocolate would have to be anything Kinder related, and if you want the key to her heart? Chocolates. She also likes to ride her bicycle and listen to music, not to mention she is keen on fashion and collecting vintage clothing.
Dislikes
She dislikes people who think that they are better than others, and is also thoroughly against any form of animal cruelty. She doesn't like small, dark, enclosed spaces, but can deal with them if they are separate. For example, she would be fine in a small space if it was lit well.

Relationship Info
Relationship Status: Single, currently.
Taken by: N/A
Orientation: Straight, predominantly, but she isn't one hundred percent decided.

Other
Lotta spent quite a few years in the circus, where she performed dangerous riding stunts with horses. She rides bareback and rarely ever changes her style.

Nightshade
Image

Personality
Nightshade is rather wild, to be honest, and the only known person who he'll listen to and obey, not to mention behave for, is Lotta. Anybody else would be foolish to approach him unless accompanied by Lotta herself, who would be able to calm the horse down; people have to be introduced to Nightshade by Lotta before he'll even consider trusting them. Nightshade is loyal to Lotta and adores cantering around with her doing handstands on his back of hanging upside down, it's great fun!

♛ Name Yoska Petulengro
♛ Gender Male
♛ Age 19

♛ Personality Yoska is a quiet young man who would prefer spending time with animals rather than people. He's often kept to himself, and is happy to stand at a distance rather than socialize. That's not to say he isn't friendly if approached, just shy.

♛ Likes
Any kind of animal
Sunny and warm days
Working with his hands
Quiet and alone time

♛ Dislikes
Crowds
Loud people
Doesn't like it when women cuss in public

♛ Other Is the stable boy/cartaker of the barn. He feeds horses while riders are away, makes repairs, occasionally takes out horses to ride if they haven't been ridden in a while.
He speaks with a Romanian accent. Can speak several languages.

♛ Appearance
Yoska is about 5'10" with lean muscles and dark olive skin. His hair is curly and dark brown, usually messy and unkempt. His eyes are dark brown. He usually always has a little hair on his face. Yoska can always been seen with his necklace on.

♛ History

Yoska was born to a Romani family that traveled around Europe. They were a very traditional bunch, using horses and wagons (along with cars) to travel from place to place. From a young age, the horses had captured Yoska's attention. He had always loved animals.

When Yoska was 10, his family crossed the border into Romania, where they were arrested and deported due to lack of passports and papers. Yoska, however, was left behind. Separated from his family with only a horse and a wagon to live from, Yoska barely got by. He became thin, sick, and was in constant fear of being hurt or robbed. The Romanian people didn't have a very kind view of gypsies.

When he was 15, Yoska was found and taken in by a farmer and his wife, who put him to work to earn food and a place to live. Yoska did everything from make home repairs to work in the fields, all the while favoring the barn animals over farmhands. Although his life had improved from begging for money on the street, Yoska still lived in fear. The farmhands weren't too kind to him, often making him do the work that they were supposed to do, calling him a 'filthy, lazy gypsy' all the while. If he ever tried to defend himself, he would be beaten or scared into submission.

It wasn't until Yoska was 18 that he was discovered by a Christian missionary couple, who took him away from the terrible conditions of the farm and brought him back with them to the United States. While they were unable to care for the boy, they were able to get some papers together so that the owners of the stables could employ him. Yoska essentially lives at the stables, so that there's always someone around in case something happens in the middle of the night. He's made it clear that he loves and appreciates his job, but he hasn't quite come out of his shell yet.
