So after the school fiasco, they just let me keep the key to the teachers lounge so I could get food from there. Everyone, of course, is jealous, and I sometimes sneak extras but... It's all good Bruh. Anyway, Jake is sleeping and I'm doing absolutely nothing.... .____. Hmmmm... Oh! Wait a second. I'm supposed to work at the Yappicno today. I walked out of the house and to my car. I got in it and started it up.
Amy: Hey! You didn't tell me you had a car like this! I looked behind me. Amy was in my backseat. I literally had a mini heart attack!
Me: Amy! What are you doing here?! Don't you know it's creepy to wait in people's cars? Amy: It is? Oh. I'm used to it. I always have someone waiting for me in my car.Face palm.
Me: Do I have another mission or something because I have to go to work... Amy: Nope. Alex said I should start hanging out with you more so I can actually learn how teenagers act.Me: Oh well that's nice of him.She climbed into the passenger seat.
Amy: Yeah. He said if I ever need to kidnap a teenager I should at least learn to act like one. Me: -_- yeah, how nice of him. Amy: So where do you work? Me: The Yappichino.Amy: Your a spy... Working at a coffee shop? How cliché! Me: Yeah, yeah. I got out onto the road and started riding down Barkington.
Amy: So where's that friend of yours that I strongly dislike? Me: Cassie? I don't know. Her bodyguards took her somewhere. Probably some high class paratoins boarding school. Amy: How would you know? Me: Because her bodyguards hate her, she's missing the rest of her education, and she clearly can't fight at all. Amy shrugged, even she knew all those things were true.
Me: Did you like anything about her? Amy: Hmm.. Nope. Not really. But I guess I did learn how to slap people with potatoes. It's very effective, actually. Me: Well... That's something I guess.I turned down the street.
Amy: So what do girls talk abou-Me: Boys. Amy: What else? Me: Popularity.Amy: Okay... What else?Me: Popular boys.Amy: Wowwww.... What a wide variety. Me: you'd be surprised. Amy: do they ever talk about their missions? I pulled over the car at the Yappichino.
Me: Nope. Because their normal people who do normal things who don't try to kill or kidnap each other. Amy: What?! What kind of world is that? You call that normal?! Me: Yes! We both got out of the car and walked into the coffee shop.
Amy: So this is where you work? Me: Yup.Amy: Could we turn this into a secret base?Me: what?! No! Stop that. Teenagers don't think like that. Amy: Oh, they don't? What do they do all day anyway? She pulled out a ninja star and threw it at a clock on the wall.
Me: They definitely don't throw ninja stars at things! but they do vanadalize property. Of course, I couldn't tell her that. That would just excite her
Amy: Being a teenager sounds boring! You don't get to do anything fun.me: Well, what's fun to you is torture to others. Amy: Really? This generation is tortured that easily? Face palm. Wrong choice of words. I looked on the counter and saw some clothing, hair dye, and a note.
-Xura-
No one must know you have this job. So here's a disguise for when your working.
I looked over at Amy who was wandering around the shop. I bet you wish Jake was here now so he could draw my face because it was
not good! I shouldn't have brought Amy here. Then again, maybe I could hire her or something.
Me: Hey Amy. Do you want to work here with me? Amy: Yeah! That sounds fun. I can kidnap your boss and-Me: /).0 No. There's really no need for that. I can just hire you. Amy: hmm. Okay. Me: Great. There seemed to be enough hair dye for the two of us and there was spare clothes in a back closet.
Amy: I can tell all my comrades in thunder about this and we can build a secret base here! Oh great. I just hired a Thunder agent who is absolutely sure to discover the secret base in the basement. Me and my bright ideas, I should've just told her that the note said I was fired.
Me: No! You can't do that.Amy: Why not? Me: Because... Aww think, Xura, think!
Me: Because you said that you wanted to learn what being a normal teenager is like.Amy: But-Me: Nope! Teenagers go to real jobs and do normal things and they don't have secret underground organizations in their work's basement. Geez, that was a mouthful. Amy paused for a moment.
Amy: Fineee... Yay! It worked! Wait... That actually worked?!
Amy: Can we build an underground organization next door?! Face palm.
Me: No, Amy. I have to teach you how to work here so come over and sit at a booth. Amy walked over to a booth and sat down.
Me: Now your the customer, and I'm the employee.Amy: But I thought I work here... Me: You do but-Amy: Are you firing me already?Me: No I'm just showing-Amy: I thought we were friends Xura! Me: Amy! I'm just showing you an example of how you should be when you work here.Amy: Oh. Proceed then. Me: *sigh* so your the customer-Amy: Do we have to say that to them? Me: No-Amy: Because if we did, it would be like-Me: Amy. Focus! Your the customer and I'm the employee. Ok?She nodded.
Me: Now this is what we're supposed to do. I ask your order, you give me it, and then I go get you it. You pay, and then you leave. Sounds simple enough, right? Amy: Okie dokie! Is that what teenagers say? Me: It depends what kind of teenager you are.Amy: There's different types?! This generation is so complex and fascinating o.oMe: Rightttt... Let's start. So I showed her how to be a waitress and she learned a lot today so I made us some Frappichinos. I looked at the time, seeing that it was about 12:30 pm. I flipped to the open sign on the door. Amy was smiling and violently swinging the broom around like it was a weapon.
Me: Ready for real customers? I noticed Amy pulled out a gun and loaded it.
Amy: This is going to be just like that cafe in Quinghai. Me: Amy! Put that thing away.Amy: Oh... Right. Sorry, forgot. We have to be normal. She laughed like the idea was insane. Still, the thought lingered about what she intended to do. I wouldn't ask... I don't want to know.
Amy: How long does this take? Me: It's only been 3 minutes, and we just opened. Amy: Can we make everyone go in here by force? She pulled out the gun again.
Me: Amy! Put that thing back where it came from! Ha. That song just came into my head from Monsters inc.
"
Put that thing back where it came from or so help me
(Bum bum bum bum) "
Yeah, I'm really distracted.
Amy: But this came from Russia! Me: Not literally.Amy: Oh. She put it away right when our very first customer walked in. Nick Furry. Greatttttt.... Does life for me get easier or crazier?
Amy: Whose the guy with the mysterious eyepatch? Me: *grumble* A customer... Amy: Oh! Can I do this one? Me: Actually, I've always had this thing about customers with eyepatches. I have to do it, I made a solemn oath. She gave me a weird look and I saw another customer enter, he had a shield badge sparkling on his jacket. I remembered all the captain America movies I watched and I recongnized him. In the movie, he had died, but he was still alive. Agent Coleson. We'll just call him Cole for short.
Amy: What about that one? Me: You can do him. I watched as she lifted a tray and slowly slid her gun under it.
Me: Amy! Amy: What? Oh Fineee.... She put it away and I stumbled over to where Nick sat.
Me: May I take your order? I pulled out a pen pad.
Nick: Didn't the note specifically tell you that NO one can know you work here? Me: Well sir, maybe you could tell me that before I start my job.Nick: Why did you bring her here?! Me: Because she was waiting creepily in my car and I didn't want to blow off my first job! Nick sighed.
Nick: If she finds the basement.... Me: She won't.He gave me a look of disbelief. He got up and headed for the door.
Me: What? No tip? Nick: Yeah, sure I'll give you a tip. This ain't my first rodeo, kid. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. He left, disappearing into the cold city street crowds. I turned and saw Amy with Cole. She was actually doing her job right! I walked over to check on her. She gave Coleson a menu and hung up his jacket on a little hook thingy. Then she walked up to me and whispered
Amy: This is Super easy. Me: Good. I watched her walk back and actually successfully take a order, and complete it. While she worked in the kitchen, I went and sat at Coleson's booth.
Me: What are you doing here? Cole: Ordering lunch. Me: Is that it? I lifted an eyebrow and gave him my most disbelieving look of disbelief... Wait a second... Did I just contridict myself in this sentence?
Cole fingered what looked like a coin. He did that cool knuckle trick thing with it.
Cole: Maybe I'm here for something else. His eyes looked to the secret entrance and then back to Amy as she started to walk back.
Me: Sorry, that's not on the menu at the hour. How about you come back later? I got up and went behind the counter. Coleson ate and left without any second thoughts. He left a tip of $8.00 on his table. I saw Amy pick it up with excitement.
Amy: This is a real job? This is how I feels? Me: Yup. Amy: This was so Fun! It was almost as great as when I first bungee jumped off a building! Me: How many times have you done that exactly? Amy smiled but didn't answer. I assume it's more times than she could count.
Soon, we served a lot of people and started to get a little bored.
Me: Alright we need a game, don't we? Amy: What kind of game? I remember Allie and I used to play marbles with each other when we were kids. That was one of the best times of my life.I saw her eyes dim a little.
Allie? Is that the one I killed? Wait.. No I didn't kill.. I just was defending myself... Right? .... I remember her last words too. It was a little more intense than what I wrote down. I was too scared to think straight or even talk about it to myself.
Allie: This death *gasp* will continue to control you. I'm not the only one who will die today.
Me: What do you mean?
I grabbed the hand she held over the bloodwound. I had looked at her, I know more than I did then, but I was terrified. Her words had startled me.
Allie: One day, you'll figure it out.
She did a twisted half smile and fell limp. Her blood heaped in pools around her. It was then that I learned that little hand trick thingy where you close a dead person's eyes. Yuppp... Kinda creepy. I had taken my hands off her and once I saw the blood I couldn't think right anymore.
Sorry for the bad emotional flashback but That's as much as I can remember anyway. What? You thought that you finally learned all of it? Of course not. My shock at the time erased like half my memory of it so... Even I don't remember all of it. She definitely said a little more than that before she died but that's what stuck with me. Darn it. Diaries are so personal. I don't like sharing my feelings DX
Amy: Hello? Earth to Xura? She waved her hand in front of my eyes.
Me: Oh sorry. A game, right? Amy: Yeah. Me: Okay. Let's try guessing where people here are from and making perfect matches for you. Amy: Wait... That doesn't sound so fun- Me: Oh look at that one over there! I pointed to a guy with spiky white hair sitting by himself in a booth and reading a newspaper.
Amy: I don't know and this game kinda-Me: What do you think his name is? I think he's pretty cute. He looks like he's about a year older than we are. Bonus points. What do you think? Amy: I'm still not for this game but he looks a little to smug and his clothing indicates that he's some kinda science assistant or something and he's wearing a lab coat and reading the "Science" column of the newspaper. I'm for smart guys but not in science. It just kinda has a creepy vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if his name is Brian. Me: Hmmm...I smiled.
Me: Want to go find out if that's his name? Amy: Wait! What?! She started to freak out.
Me: Too scared? I'll go find out.Amy looked like she wanted to say something but she seemed speechless.
I walked over to the booth and I could see Amy being all spasmodic in the backround.
Me: Hi sir. My friend over there-I pointed to her and I saw her eyes bulge as I did.
Me: Is really curious what your name is.???: It's Brian. *smiles* Can I order now? After I took his order, I waltzed back over to Amy.
Me: So.... You were right about his nameAmy: That was more scary than that trap I got caught in while I was cutting through the Amazon. Me: Who would trap you? Amy: someone hired to *faint* me Me: Who would do such a thing? People who lived in the Amazon? Amy: Nope. My comrade was actually hired to kill me. Me: ...How did you beat them? Amy smiled again. Somehow, I knew she wouldn't give me the answer.
Me: Okay... Anyway, I don't think Brian is your type. Lets try another! Amy: Let's not...We did this all night until we were both totally exhausted and everyone thought we were really weird highschool girls.
Me: Now, you can't tell me that wasn't fun. Amy: ._______.we put the close sign on the door.
Amy: How much did we earn? Me: In tips or over all? Amy: Over all. I counted the cash. We earned about $200 something plus tips.
Me: I think we did pretty good. I started to split the cash.
Amy: Don't you have to pay rent? Hmm... That's a really good question. Did I have to pay bills for this place? Nick should've told me.
Me: I should ask him how much it is. Here. I gave her half the cash.
Amy: But... Are you using the rest for bills?Me: I don't know. I'll figure it out though. she gave me a curious look.
Amy: What days are we open? Me: uhhhhhh.... Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Another curious look.
Amy: How did you decide those times? Me: I don't know! You pressured me! She broke into a small smile.
Amy: I'll see you later. I watched her go and I continued to clean the shop. Agent Coleson walked back in.
Cole: Is she gone? Me: Yeah. I typed the code into the register and we went into the entrance of the base.
Cole: We've been working on something...I followed him down the stairs
Me: What do you mean? I looked up and saw
IT. I couldn't believe my eyes.
Me: Is that...? Cole: Yes... It's exactly what you think it is...
