She blinked sadly. "I don't pity you, I just want to make sure your flank, and neck, injury feels alright. Most cats die from it. And I don't want you to die." She flicked her ear. 'He needs time to recover, Flamewing. Don't try to get close to him yet.'

He stalked toward the fresh-kill pile. Flintfoot grabbed a vole and looked at it, then took a small bite.

"You know," she said. "That scar makes you look cool. Well, I like it."

He looked up. " Well, you made it. " Flintfoot pointed out.

She flinched, biting her lip. "I'm sorry... I... I was so angry that he tried to kill you, Pineleap, and Kestrelflame, I... I was too angry to see anything." She muttered, her gaze boring into her paws.

Flintfoot tossed his food in his paws. " It's just a scar. " He reminded. " And it's not my fault Kestrelflame chose a piece of fox-dung over me. " He muttered.

"Personally, I don't know what she was thinking. Who would give someone up who's as sweet as you?" She purred.
