Moon stood still saying and doing nothing, she just stared and flicked her tail which spread heat around. She hated this and she took a step back nervously.

"My name is Emberblaze and from now on you are all my mares,"The dark chestnut stallion shouted at them, threatening to bite, "Now, get a move on, I don't want to be spotted by predators."

Alex took a few steps back and called loudly for his father. He didn't like this stallion and was scared of what would happen to him.

Moon stood in front of Alex. She snorted at the stallion but her heat was strong and she knew he would probably take her but it was worth it if she could protect the foal.

"What?" Emberblaze started at moon, "Is this your foal?" He asked the mare, "From now on, you do not belong to my herd and you better stay out of it."Blaze trotted forward and pushed the little foal, and bit him on the leg.

Alex gave a noise of pain and bucked as he moved from behind Moon. His heart was pounding rapidly as the thought of being alone scared him. He tried to look at Venus or Moon for support but continued to back up.
