He un-sheathed his claws. " About Kestrelflame you mouse-brain. " Flintfoot hissed back.

"I'm just comforting her. Mostly because you were a mousebrain to sneak up on us and Flamewing attack you, thinking you were Snake!" He hissed. He saw Flintfoot's claws unsheathe, and he unsheathed his claws in anger, them digging into the damp soil.

" I was protecting my mate. " Flintfoot snapped, flexing his long and curved claws.

"How?" He snapped loudly. "And don't even think of attacking me." He hissed, glaring at his claws that are unsheathed. "You just laid there as your mate suffered. I actually did something, instead of you." He hissed loudly.

Flintfoot's eyes suddenly turned vicious and cold, his pupils nothing but unusual slits. " A true warrior would die for his Clan-mates, not hide like a coward. " He snarled with rage. " I was prepared to die for anyone. "

" Yes, Flamewing loves me. And I love her. But, I love Kestrelflame more than StarClan. " He admitted harshly. " A trust that a fox-heart like you will never understand. " Flintfoot mocked, preparing to lunge.
