"I'll help you!" Flamewing yowled. She pressed to his flank, and began to shove him forward. "He won't get away with this!" She hissed, trying to keep her eye on him, yet trying to help Flint forward. She slipt forward, and landed on her chin. Scrambling back onto her paws, she sent a glance over her shoulder. "I'm going after them!" She growled, and darted away from his side and after Kestrelflame's father. She opened her jaws, trying to see if she could still smell him. "Aha! He went this way!"

Snake growled furiously and bounded into the lake. He swam effortlessly, keeping his and his daughter's head above water.


(What about he gets away and then they have to find them? Drama!)

(Sure! Wolfie, you cool with that?)

She stopped, remembering Flintfoot was injured. "Flintfoot! Are your legs and... Cut OK?" She called back.

Flintfoot wobbled a bit and fell breathing hard. " Darn Monster! " He cursed, laying still.

Snake clambered out of the lake and shook. He looked back and smirked. “Have fun getting your best friend back!” He yowled, smiling grimly as he bounded away into the shadows.

Flintfoot snarled loudly. " Kestrelflame! " He yowled helplessly.

Kestrelflame's eyes peeled open at the sound of Flintfoot's call. “I'll be back, trust me Flintfoot!” She called back weakly, before everything went silent. Snake and Kestrelflame were gone.

Her paws pranced back and forth. "Oh... Who do I go to?" She groaned. Her stomach did flops, as she did not know where to go. "Flintfoot is mortally hurt... Kestrelflame is being kidnapped..." She raced off after Kestrelflame, but lost his scent trail. She barely saw his fleeting tail, and his cackling laughter, but she with his fur being wet, she wouldn't be able to sniff him out. "Where... Where... Oh, darn it all!" Not being able to continue any further, she bolted back to Flintfoot. "I lost... The trail..." She began to look for cobwebs, her breath coming out in short spurts. "I'm sorry..."

Flintfoot sighed and buried his face in his paws.

Kestrelflame moaned as Snake put her down. “What do you want with me?” She whispered weakly. “I want to taste your blood.” He snarled back, placing a claw tip on her throat.
