Flintfoot watched, his legs quivering with pain. His green eyes bore into the intruder's fur like boiling water. Don't you dare... He thought.

“Hmm, let me see. My daughter.” He replied, his icy glare returning to Flamewing. His claw pushed harder on Pineleap's neck. Kestrelflame whimpered.

(Shoot, I forgot she was holding Pineleap, not Flintfoot DX)

Flamewing pressed her head down. "Are you sure you want him? Or her? Why not me?" She whimpered. "I'm next in line to rule the clan, surely that's worth something, right?"

Flintfoot nuzzled Kestrelflame softly before weakly crawling to Flamewing. Looking up at the strange tom, he sighed and collapsed. " Take... me. I won't make it anyway. " He murmured, loud enough for the dangerous tom to hear, as well as Flamewing.

"No!" Her teeth gritted, and ntears began to prick at her eyes. "You will make it! You have to live for Kestrelflame! Don't leave her alone!" She growled, trying to nudge Flintfoot away fearfully. "Please don't hurt him." She glanced, scared, up at the enemy. "He doesn't deserve it."

The wounded tom didn't budge. He looked up fearlessly at the intruder. " I am ready to meet my fate anytime for my Clan, and those I love. " He then glanced at both Kestrelflame and Flamewing.

Her jaws snapped fearfully next to his ear. "This isn't your fate. Its mine. Now go. Now." She growled. "Crawl back to Kestrelflame."

With rage, Flintfoot tuned with all his strength and attempted to fling Flamewing back towards safety. I'm just a warrior!

Stumbling over her paws, she began to feel like this was a battle between her and Flintfoot, not her and the enemy. "What are you doing?" She snarled. "I'm trying to save your life! You stupid furball, the least you can do is stay away! I need to... To..." She fumbled with her words, looking for something to say. 'Riverstorm, where are you?' She wailed in her head.

Flintfoot didn't respond. The tom just turned back towards the stranger and gave a mocking smirk.
