It could be said that Akane was never really a girl. In her childhood days while many other children would run through fields and play their games Akane was training to become a demon slayer. Most of her days were spent either in the family courtyard training or inside learning more about the demons she was to kill. Her first time setting foot in the village she called home was when she was nine years old. Up to that point the only other child that Akane had met was her sister ____ but the day she snuck out she met a little boy called Taro. While he did leave the village at a very young age he and Akane became good friends in that short amount of time. After Taro left Akane became solely focused on her tasks as a demon slayer. By the age of ten Akane had become one of the most renowned demon slayers of her time. It was after this point that Akane and her sister met the yokai. Their first encounter was violent, they tried to kill the yokai and nearly succeeded when the events turned and the yokai ended up saving their lives. Akane couldn’t understand what drove him to do such a thing. Why save those who were about to kill you? It was this curiosity and her own conscience that drove Akane to join the yokai along with her sister. As the others joined this rag-tag team Akane found a sense of family that she had not known with anyone other than her sister before this. The years passed and their fights against the darkness of this world became more and more urgent. This battle against the evil was supposed to be the final one to seal this darkness. In this battle Akane fought with all that she had to protect all of those around her, and the simple truth she learned was that humans were equal to demons. Their greed and base desires were the cause of her death and the deaths of the other five.
When Akane was reincarnated she changed. In her first life Akane was always a mixture of serious and curious about practically everything everything around her, there was something about how the world worked that fascinated the demon slayer. Now though Akane understands more of how the world and the people in it work and now she doesn’t really want to. She wishes that she was still ignorant to man’s cruelty and greed because these are the feelings that ended her life and so many others. It's this feeling that has instilled a bitter cynicism in her heart, she no longer trusts the people she meets and those that prove their true natures are subject to an anger that was usually reserved for demons. While Akane has changed in many ways she still maintains her serious and loyal nature. Dying has not given Akane a reason to be less serious about life, she doesn't understand the point of goofing off when her sword needs to be sharpened or food needs to be gathered. In this way her loyalty has not changed Akane will still risk everything for her friends no matter the cost. Yes, this loyalty wavers for those that she’s unfamiliar with but for those who have an absence of greed Akane will sacrifice everything for them.

Born twenty-two years ago on the night of a full moon Tsukiko Suzume would have been raised to become a member of the blue clan, unfortunately she was born a girl. Her father, Kenta Suzume, an already prominent member wished to continue the legacy that preceded his grandfather of having a son join the blue clan to preserve peace and justice, if only he had a son. For the majority of her life Tsukiko has been ignored by her father, raised instead almost solely by her mother Misaki Suzume.
For the longest time Tsukiko couldn't understand why her father was so ashamed of her, every day she would ask her mother and every day her mother would change the subject. Frustrated by her mothers refusal to answer her question and her fathers' alienation of her, at the age of twelve she confronted her father managing to catch him before he left for work. If only she was a boy, that was what her father said before brushing past her on the way out the door. Angry and determined to prove her father wrong Tsukiko abandoned her childish pursuits of friends and fun and instead focus solely on proving her fathers' opinion obsolete.
At school Tsukiko became incredibly studious even overly so, never really giving a thought to the fun that she was missing she quickly rose to the top of her class while at the same time sank into obscurity among her peers. Tsukiko was content with this though, friends were a distraction she couldn't afford, her time much better spent studying or practicing her sword play which with everyday improved slowly but surely. Just like any subject Tsukiko found that with continuous practice and study she could excel greatly in a short amount of time.
It wasn't until she was seventeen that her mother confronted her about the way she was living

Four hundred years ago the dragon clan of Portath was blessed with a child, a small dragon with silver scales by the name of Mirna Portath. Her father, Ryuu Portath, was a great friend of the Elder clan but, he did not believe in the war with the humans; he thought that if the two leaders could just talk that it would become clear that this fight was a pointless one and that the only solution was peace. Ryuu taught his daughter to value all life, even those of the cockroaches that attempted to kill her kind day after day, he would have taught her a great deal more but five years before the treaty was signed Ryuu was killed by a group of soldiers. They had mistook the black dragon for another that had recently burned an entire town, Ryuu had never once harmed a human being but that didn't stop them from taking his life. When Mirna learnt of her father's fate, everything he had taught her was forgotten in her fury at the humans who had killed them. In her blind hatred Mirna joined the battle against the humans, killing and burning just as her father had hoped she wouldn't.
For two years after her father's murder Mirna let her rage posses her, with her quick mind and her decisiveness Mirna soon came to be one of the fiercest warriors in this bloody battle. She wouldn't stop, she couldn't stop for this was -as terrible as it was- her way of grieving for the loss of her father. It seemed that she would continue on in this way forever when something stopped her, actually someone, her mother finally stopped the madness and reminded Mirna of what her father stood for and all the things that he had taught her.
Realizing what she had done and how she had betrayed everything her father believed in, Mirna resolved to change.

At first glance this girl seems to be a normal eighteen year-old, quiet and easy to miss in the crowd and for the first eighteen years that’s exactly what she was. Born on September 12, 1996, in the town of Elgin in Scotland to a scottish father and an irish mother. In truth the part of her life spent in this small town going to school and exploring the river side was boring. Fiona grew up as many other people do, she was outgoing as a child until one bad school choir production made her realize that she was a very shy person. She didn’t speak up in class, managed to finish all of her education with good average grades, and left secondary school with a desire to continue her education. The only problem was that she didn’t know in what specifically, her and her parents had saved enough to allow her to go so that wasn’t a problem but truthfully Fiona just didn’t know what fascinated her enough to study for the next few years. After many talks with her parents it was decided that to clear her mind Fiona could spend the next year traveling from place to place and maybe on her travels she would find her answer.
Traveling from her home Fiona had not gone far when she came to a town with a strange abandoned hotel on it’s outskirts. Despite the rumors of a deranged killer prowling the streets and leaving people drained of blood with small pricks in their necks Fiona stayed the night hoping to leave early the next morning. That never happened though. Eating out in a quiet restaurant that night Fiona was attacked on her way home. She didn’t hear her attacker approach, she didn’t even have time to scream before the fangs sunk into her neck. Fiona didn’t expect to wake up, but wake up she did only she wasn’t herself anymore. The man who had attacked her was a vampire named Lance and for some reason instead of just killing her he changed her. Frozen at age eighteen Fiona is now a vampire, hiding with the rest of her group in the old abandoned hotel. She is one of the youngest vampires being only four years old Fiona now struggles with her new found powers and her thirst for blood.

Before the bomb Mara was a fairly decent girl, she got into very little trouble besides the occasional misdemeanor in class and the occasional screw up at work. Born into a single parent home money was always a little tight but she and her mother managed, true they didn't live in a mansion or even a house really, but their apartment was nice and only a few blocks away from the park. Growing up Mara became increasingly involved with things like swimming, cross country, and track giving her plenty of distractions from school. It was this physical activity that probably kept Mara out of trouble for the most part, she might've even received a scholarship if it hadn't been for the virus. It seemingly came from no where and spread throughout the New York population at an unprecedented rate killing practically everything in it's path. In the first wave of the virus Mara's mother became ill and like many of the others she was quarantined before passing on a week or so later. Mara watched her mother pass on unable to even hold her hand for comfort, it was at this point that Mara began to feel angry towards the government, the doctors, anyone really that gave her even the smallest reason to hate them. After her mother passed Mara isolated herself she barely came out of the apartment unless for work or to get food. Life continued on, at least for a while and listening to government debates and the news of more and more people dying changed something in Mara. She became cynical of everything and anyone, with horrible things piling up left and right Mara could no longer see the silver lining, she would just assume that the worst would happen. The day the bombs came rain gin down from the sky was the day that Mara began to truly hate the world. She was in a subway station when it happened, the bombs successfully collapsed the tunnels but that didn't mean that they crushed everyone down there. A fallen pillar had collapsed over Mara and protected her from the rest of the falling debris, when she woke up it was dark all around her there was broken bricks, dirt, and bodies. It took about a day to dig herself out of the rubble and when she did she was faced with the ruin that had once been the city she called home. Mara didn't know what to do, the first day she ended up wandering, trying to find anyone else who survived. It was a little while before she found anyone, a group of people that she was able to join. By the time she joined they were already at war with the goody-two shoes, she couldn't understand why they'd want to use their powers for good. The world had turned their backs on them, they had tried to kill them and they had failed; why go back to have them do it all over again?
Mara became aware of her powers a few weeks after the explosion. She was looking for anything useful that could have survived the bombing when Mara stumbled and fell onto a few shards of glass. It hurt, not as bad as other things but it did hurt enough for her to wish that it would stop. And suddenly it did, not only that though, she stopped feeling anything: the ground, the hand around her palm, and even the cold breeze on her skin. It took a while before she figured out what had happened but when she did it took even longer to control it. Now she's able to 'switch-off' her own senses but those of the people around her.
