i breathed heavily as my eyes still glinted softly in hurt at Oakfang, yet they began to fade as I looked down at the 3 little kits that lay nuzzled into my belly. I nuzzled their heads slightly as I then licked them each off. "Mistykit, Stormkit, and Dewkit." I smiled brightly as I looked at them 95% love in my eyes.

I caught the ball in my paws as I smiled softly at Sunkit, what a great friend she was, she was always so happy and was never sad. I picked up the ball in my small jaws and tossed it to her again, as pain still drained on my heart to what... what ever her name was now had said to me. I knew I was a kittypet... and I knew who I needed to talk to about it. I got up and padded to Sunkit barley dodging the moss ball that almost hit me in the head and whispered into her red ears, "I am going... to go find my mom." I murmured as pain showed in my turquoise eyes.

ShiverTail let's out a light purr, her eyes happy with sorrow for silverdawn, she looked down at the 3 tiny scraps of fur, giving them a quick sniff and a check up "they are all healthy except one.." She meowed quietly, looking at misty kit with sorrow, she sat up looking at oak fang "oak fang can I have a word with you in private.." She asked, getting to her paws waiting for a response.
(I was thinking maybe misty kit is either blind or had a twisted paw?)

"A fox hunt, eh?" The broad-shouldered tabby purred, amused by the apprentice's enthusiasm. "That's very nice, but I'm afraid you're too young to go out hunting foxes by yourself, Moonpaw. They are larger than us and hard to fight. It's just not possible for one apprentice to defeat a fox." He explained, feeling a tinge of guilt. "I'm sorry." He attached an apology to the end of his speech before an idea to cheer Moonpaw up popped into his head. "Instead, how about I assess you for your warrior assessment? Not a real one, though," He added quickly before the apprentice could reply. "Just a practice one, but let's pretend it's a real one..."

"Umm we'll ah" ShiverTail stammered, she sat down and stared into silverdawns eyes with sorrow "misty kit won't be the same as the others" she admitted not saying anymore.

Oakfang heard Shivertail, ears pricked as he looked over his shoulder and nodded. About to follow the medicine cat, he stopped when Silverdawn had asked what happened, and listened to Shivertail's response. His amber eyes blinked, then looked at the trio of fluffs. "Why? What's wrong?"

Sunkit caught the moss ball and giggled, then passed it to one of the others who were participating. Looking up to see Tumblepaw, the she-kit noticed his expression then tilted her head, "Oh okay..but what's wrong?"

I sighed softly looking down as my eyes met hers, a longing look seemed to plead in my turquoise pools. "I can just feel that something is wrong... will you come with me?"

"I'll tell you the rest now oak fang" she meowed, getting to her paws and making sure silverdawn is alright before walking outside her den and waited for oakfang, curling her tail around her paws.
