I look down nervously, not sure whether I should trust him or not. What if he is trying to trick me? What if he just wants to humiliate me? I think for a moment, afraid of what would happen if I take the risk, but also afraid of what will happen if I don't. I finally decide that if I take a risk maybe more can come out of it than I think possible. I look up again, meeting his eyes. "I am perfectly fine with whichever you prefer. Although, I'm leaning more towards the 'more than friends' side." I reply, smiling a little.

Paisley pulled away, opening her eyes to see Liam looking shocked. Oh no, she thought. I messed up. She stood, brushing the dirt off of her shorts. "I'm sorry, maybe I should go," she said, wiping the tears off her cheeks. Kissing Liam was a mistake. She never should have come with him to the bus stop and she shouldn't have broken down like that in the middle of the street. It was all just a huge mistake.
