t h e . p a s t . . .
Nine hundred years ago, man was exiled from Earth. Those who did not leave were killed. Who carried out these new rules? Well, the horses did. Not the horses you're thinking of, though. No, these were powerful, advanced creatures capable of speech and special power. These highly evolved creatures are a group now called the cadence of Earth. They control the seasons, and rule over the other creatures. They rule, but not like man had. The cadence rule with kindness and they have the needs of every living thing in mind when they change something. They choose what lives and what dies; who lives and who dies. The cadence consists of sixteen mysterious horses. One for each season, one for each of the four elements, two healers, an executioner, one who can stop time, an invisible watcher, the seer, and then the two called the stixii pair. The stixii pair are stallion and mare, with several different powers. The mare can ensure a healthy baby to any creature, and also she has the ability to see the foal before it is born. The stallion can ensure a certain gender if requested. He can also tell what power the foal will have if it is born into the cadence. The stixii pair is mated for all of eternity as well.

t h e . t e r r i t o r y

the forests ~ klio forest is full of beautiful green plants and bright flowers. This forest is upheld by the spring mare and thus never dies or fades in vibrance. somati forest is usually foggy and hazy, with no living trees to create shade. It may seem horrid to some, but at times it can be quite beautiful. auburn forest is a beautiful place. It always has both green trees and red fallen leaves. This place is suspended in an everlasting phase of Autumn beauty. lone forest is the last major forest that surrounds the cadence territory. This is the seer's home and has been since she was born. You will also find the winter mare here, for she tends to stay near her daughter.

the meadows~ border meadow is exactly as it sounds. This peaceful, flowered meadow borders the lone forest. sundown meadow is near the beach. It gives a wonderful sunset vision and is always alive and green. This is where the healers treat those who need them. feryl meadow is the main food source of most animals in the area. It is plentiful in it's long grass and wild oats.

the freshwater~ dark river is swift and deep, but some places are safe to cross. This river runs through the lone forest. gold river runs from the klio forest into the lone forest. It is shallow, but wide and moderately fast. kono river is very slow moving, but it is also very, very deep and quite wide. It starts up in the mountains and winds through the feryl meadow. stranger's lake is an oddity to some. There is no river or stream that feeds it, yet it stays the same constantly. The truth about this is that this strange but beautiful lake is kept perfect by the kelpie mare who has the element of water under her control. raining falls is a beautiful waterfall that starts the gold river. The waterfall itself is formed by several underground springs. aloe falls and pool is formed by a small stream running through the auburn forest. The pool of aloe falls is only a foot deep, but it is super cold. Many come here for fresh water.

the coast~ glass beach is not what it sounds like. The beach gets its name from the perfectly clear water and the large rocks that jut out from the ocean looking like pieces of broken glass. The sand is soft and the area is maintained by the Earth mare. To get to the beach, you must go through lone forest and through the mountains.

the mountains~ snow collar mountains are cold, snowy, and desolate all year round. They stand tall in the sky and the valleys of them dip deep into the land. There is always snow int he mountains, even in summer. This part of the land is where the Winter mare feels most at home. If you are not careful, it is easy to get lost in these mountains and never make it out.

in the cadence, there are three winged horses, five unicorns, two winged unicorns, one kelpie and five who have no horn and no wings but have other powers.
.the.four.seasons.
There is one cadence me ever for each season. Two mares and two stallions. Each of them has their own kind of power to match their seasons.
•Spring. the season of spring is controlled by a mare. Wherever she walks, grass and small flowers bloom. She is the essence of new beginnings and was alive when the humans were exiled and eliminated. She can telepathically speak to any creature, even the plants. She is one of three winged horses, so naturally she can fly.
~Summer. the season of summer is controlled by a stallion. The sun gleams in his eyes and off of his horn. His mane and tail are like sun beams and rays of light. His coat is always radiating heat because of the season he symbolizes. Like his sister with spring, grass and little flowers bloom when he walks. But unlike her, it only happens for him if he wants it to. He is one of five unicorns in the cadence. When he whinnies or nickers, the clouds disappear and sky is clear.
Autumn. the season of Autumn is also controlled by a stallion. Though he is not related to those controlling spring and summer. His sister is that who controls winter. The Autumn stallion can shift into any other creature he wishes and he can speak to all creatures. He is a unicorn, like the stallion of summer.
Winter. the last of the seasons is controlled by a mare. Her coat is white like freshly fallen snow and her eyes are silver. Not a blind clouded, but a true silver. She is the oldest creature alive, though she looks to be a young mare. Where ever her hooves land, their print is left in frost and ice. She is as to change her appearance to look any kind of horse.

the.four.elements
There are four cadence members with elemental powers. One for each main element and they have powers to go with their element.
•Air. the element of air is kept by a pegasus stallion. Depending on his mood, there could be a light breeze to a full blown tornado. When he runs, he creates a warm, soothing wind.
~Earth. The earth element is held by a draft unicorn mare. When she wants to, she can create earthquakes by rearing and pounding her hooves into the ground. She can create caves and tunnels for safety with just a single paw at the ground. Also, if she draws something in dirt or rock with her horn, it will become real.
*Water. this element is also a mare's domain. There is a rolling ocean in her eyes and it rains when she's upset. When she is in the water, she has a mermaid tale instead of hind legs and she can breath under water. Also, if she wishes, a pool of water will form at her feet.
Fire. fire is held by a stallion. His mane and tail are flames and his eyes are an eerie red. But he isn't evil like some think at first. He is in charge of making sure the land stays healthy by controlling the fires set by lightening. Also, he can teleport and teleport with others as well.

.healers.
There are two healers; a mare and a stallion. They each have different powers and they use them together.
~Mare. she can heal any broken bone with just a touch of her horn to the injured area. Also, any herb she needs she can make it appear with just a breath.
~Stallion. he has the ability to cure illness and also, he can draw poison out of a creature by simply touching his horn to their forehead.

Executioner. this job is that of the last of five unicorns, a stallion. He has the ability to stop a creature's heart. Depending on the creature, he can make it painless or quite painful. He takes orders from the seer.

Time Bomb. this position is held by a mare. She can stop time and she can also change things when she stops time. If there is danger, she could stop time to eradicate it. She can also stop part of time and communicate with those where she has paused time.

Watcher. this stallion is invisible. He moves without a sound and leaves no trace. His job is to keep an eye on everything and make sure the land stays peaceful. Also, he can see thoughts of the other cadence members and they don't know it when he looks into their mind.

Seer. the seer is a pegasus mare. She is blind, but can see all. She can see the future, the past, and the present, but her eyes are blind. She is the daughter of the mare controlling winter.

the.stixii.pair they are in charge of all life born. Also, they are mated for all of eternity. Both are winged unicorns.
Mare.she can ensure a healthy baby to any creature and she can also see the foal of a cadence member before it is born.
Stallion. he can give the newborn creature a certain gender if the parents request it. He can also see what kind of power a cadence foal will have before it's born.

•two~the winter mare knows the land the best, for she is the eldest; listen to her advice and warnings
•three~there are no secrets within the cadence.
•four~you must teach your foals how to use their power from a young age.
•five~if a foal or young cadence member loses control of their power and it is deadly, they will either be killed are stripped of their power[both actions carried out by the executioner]
•six~if you do not respect you companions, you will be punished.
•seven~you must tell the stixii pair if you do not wish your foal's details be announced. Otherwise, every foal will be announced before it's birth.
•eight~there is only so much the healers can do. If the spirits deem it time for a member's death, they will tell the seer and that member.

personality. One of my main faults, and a main personalty trait of mine, is that I am always worried about how others might perceive me. I always need to look very beautiful and pretty, even coming out of a fight. Oh yes, I am not allowed to technically hurt or kill other creatures, but I do sometimes spar with something like a lion or elk. I never mortally wound them, and they exchange the favor. I love my offspring and my mate, but I always want to be moving around. I hate settling down in one place on earth, so each of our offspring have been born in a different place. Otherwise, I am generally sweet and outgoing, but I can be very defensive about certain insults.
