Officially Open!

It was something he wasn’t use to experiencing, something that he wasn’t quite sure he knew how to handle or comprehend: nervousness. Kade taped his foot against the floor repeatedly, having long since drowned out his sisters voice as she sat at his side chatting about who all was coming and how great it was all going to be. Millions of ways he could mess this up went flying through his head, at a time like this ever step seemed like a do-or-die situation for him.

Sunni carried on talking until she realized her brother wasn’t exactly paying attention to her. He seemed a bit out of it, but it was nothing far from the simply post-wedding jitters she’d seen many times before. To here, everything was as it should be, and even if Kade was feeling a bit jumpy it would work out in the end. Thanks to here carful planing everything looked perfect as it should, especially her darling younger sibling. Not that he could see it himself, but he looked quite revising and adult-like in his black suit and glossy golden tie. It pleased her to see her work turn out so beautifully, and quietly made a note to herself to dress him in suits more often.

Issac took a long drink from his wine glass, casually leaning against the wall as he eyed the gold and white arrangements decorating the main hall. He wouldn’t normally be out on the weekends, away from home and away from work, but it was his cousins wedding after all and it wouldn’t be fair to just skip out. Plus, he did owe it to Kade for helping him with the sounds in a specialized clock he’d been working on, and the idea of free food did seem appealing.

Aisopos walked down the main hall a he straightened his tie, making sure he looked as neat as possible on such a formal occasion. He had been invited by a new found friend named Sunni to the wedding of her brother, and though it would be a good opportunity to get out of the house. He seemed a bit lost though, poking his head in and around corners as he attempted to find where the church pews would be located.

.: Turning the corner down a long corridor, Shawn smiled, anxious to see her friend Sunni for the first time in forever. The brown and white Plumerian spotted a familiar face, leaning against the wall. Approaching, she gently played with the strap on her elegant crimson dress. "Hey, fancy seeing you here." :.

Well... Monty had to admit, inviting Chase was not his smartest move. He was three seconds away from turning away and smacking the kid. Of course being this nervous wasn't helping his tolerance level. Chase was busy trying to teach him 'proper wedding behavior', which involved being polite to guests and not threatening to shoot anyone. Instead he spent his time giving Chase dirty looks, seeing if he'll get the hint to buzz off.

Of course, being Chase, he didn't pay any mind to the looks that were thrown his way and instead decided it would be best to lean in and fix the groom's blue bow-tie.
"Don't scowl at me, it's lopsided," Chase rolled his eyes, stepping away when he was done nitpicking at it. He was completely unobservant to how unsettled Monty looked.

Orrick took a glass of wine, looking around for Isaac. He spotted the plumerian a few moments later and began to make his way towards him. Another plumerian got to him first, however, and made him stop in his tracks. Orrick was unfamiliar with her, at least as far as he could remember, and he didn't want to interrupt anything, especially if Isaac had some sort of thing going on with her. He did have to live with him, after all, and making such a mistake would likely cause friction for at least a little while. He looked down, shuffling his black dress shoes. Every inch of the plumerian's 6"5' stature made him seem even more out of place in a tuxedo than he felt, and it made it close to impossible to miss, which just made things more awkward for him. He definitely was not the type for celebrations or large gatherings in general, but he had agreed to go to the wedding.

Clenching his teeth, Orrick continued over to Isaac. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" he asked earnestly, shooting an unsure glance at Isaac as he spoke. He looked back to the female plumerian, smiling politely, but clearly not the most at ease. He was at ease at home. He was at ease with Isaac. He was at ease in his shop. He was at ease with his customers. He was at ease at his digsites. He was at ease at with other archaeologists. He was not at ease at a wedding, and he most certainly was not at ease around an unfamiliar female that may or may not have anything going on with his roommate. Part of Orrick was ready for the wedding to be over, but part of him did enjoy being out and about for one, even if it did make him feel somewhat uneasy and awkward.

Issac's head turned at the sound of a familiar voice greeting his, his eyes catching sight of a recognizable face. He blocked once, twice, taking in the the lady in the crimson dress who stood before him before replying back," Heh, fancy indeed." He improved his posture by standing up right, running a hand through his hair. He himself was a bit more casual with the way he chose to dress, though he looked nice enough not to stand out as sloppy. Simple black dress pants, a dark brown belt, clean white button up with a blue tie to match his eyes, and a golden pocket watch at his side," I didn't expect to see you here. Which groom are you here for?"
As he spoke he spotted Orrick walking over stiffly, looking a bit out of it. He shook his head at the question, motioning his roommate colorer," Don't worry so much, you're not interrupting anything" he assured, taking another sip from his glass," Enjoying yourself yet? You'll feel batter after a few drinks."

Sunni checked the clock and hummed at the time, raising form her seat and heading quickly towards the it's almost time to start, I'm going to go check on your husband-to-be." Kade nodded stiffly in her direction, his foot moving faster against the floor. With the confirmation in check Sunni slipped out of his room and headed down the long stretch of hall where Montys room would be, knocking twice before endearing the room with a simple," How's he holding up?" to Chase, not bothering to spare a glance towards her soon to be brother-in-law.

.: Smiling, Shawn ran her fingers through her short brown hair. "You look nice. I'm an old friend of Sunni's. And you?" Turning, she spotted another Plumerian walk up to the two of them. "Heya, i'm Shawn," she spoke, extending a hand. This other Plumerian seemed at unease, which made her feel a bit awkward. She hoped that she didn't bring any tension to the party-- that would be rather unfortunate. :.

Chase stopped badgering Monty enough to look up and respond to Sunni,
"Well, he hasn't threatened to kill anyone yet. I'd say I'm doing a pretty good job, where's my check for being here?" He chuckled at his own, poorly made joke, not bothering to turn around and glance at the groom who was busy hypothetically burning holes in the back of Chase's head. "How's the other one?"

"Thanks, you look nice to. That dress suits you. Oh, Sunni and Kade are my cousins on my mothers side. I think we're second cousins or something, their grandmother was my grandmothers twin sister. Though I didn't know you were a friend of Sunni's hm. Small world eh?" Isaac hummed, looking between Shawn and Orrick, thinking of introducing them to each other but deciding it best to let them do so for themselves.

"If we can pull this wedding off without any casualties, you can write your own check" she laughed, shaking her head," Ah, but I guess he's doing ok. Nervous as heck though. He keeps tapping his foot, it's quite annoying. And I think he's a bit worried about it, I keep hearing him mumble things to himself lie 'but if the rose petals are slippery I'll fall' and 'what if I forget my vowels and say something like 'I like zebras?' and then he got into this really deep argument with himself over if he really did like zebras or not and so I don't know if his mind is in the right place or not" she sighed, shaking her head," He's driving himself crazy right now for sure."

.: "Well thank you," she blushed, turning a light red. "Ah, that's awesome! It is a small world indeed. So how has life been treating you lately?" She asked lightly, wanting to keep the conversation going but not wanting to pry at all. :.
