She parted her mouth, the normal forest scent telling her it was okay. As they walked Goldenpaw opened her mouth again, fearing if anything happened to Ashfur it would be her fault.

Ashfur led the way to the borders. So far so good. Nothing as far as he could see.

Then it hit her like a bullet. "Dog!" she snapped.

Ashfur let out a loud hiss. "Goldenpaw! Go back to camp! Tell the others where I am!" he yelled at his apprentice. Ashfur lunged at the creature with all his might. He heard the stories that the elders told about dogs. How they show no mercy and can kill a cat easily. Ashfur knew there was no way he could win; but if he ran back, he would endanger the whole clan. He needed backup. Ashfur slashed the dog's face and bit down hard on it's shoulder.

He perked his ears, sprinting after the scent and running to Ashfur. "My name is Dew. Hi. Where is it!?" he spat.

Smokepaw flicked her tail playfully and then leaped at her Mentor (forgot the name sorry XD) she was not that focused.
