((Yay! I make Tinky's mind go boom! hahahaha!! I don't really care what power Gracepaw has, but I kind of want it to be a psycological thing. But, what do I know? Ohhh... Prophecy? I hope we can get a prophecy soon. Anybody up for Rainkit? Anyone?))
Airclan
Gracepaw nodded, seeing the younger apprentice a little ways off. "But, guess what? I'm a chosen apprentice! I'm super, super excited for this. I can't wait until tomorrow. I think your mentor is chosen too. What do you think I'll need to do?" She could hardly contain her excitement, and decided to spill all of her current energy to Smoothpaw. If she didn't, she may not sleep tonight. She felt like she could run and run through Airclan's fields forever with this bubble of anticipation.
Graypaw looked at Flowerpaw, his worry obvious across his face. But her response calmed him slightly, but not much.. "I h-hope you're right..." He was still worried. But, then again, Graypaw always was worried about family. If something had happened to his father, or any of his brothers or sisters, that would break him. And slowly, that caring circle was growing around his fellow Airclan clanmates as well.
Waterclan
Cloudfur's eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. Silverleaf couldn't be lying, could she? Maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. He couldn't find the real reason behind her tears. Blue met green as Cloudfur search her sad eyes, looking for an answer. What was he suppose to do? He sighed. "But, you're not fine right now." He looked away, not knowing what to do, awkwardness creeping into him and settling into his stomach like the time when he was suppose to take off the elder's ticks and accidentally licked the mouse bile off of his paws. That left him with a nasty taste in his stomach and mouth for days. He hoped that his brave act to talk with Silverleaf for the first time wouldn't be that sour afterward.
Gathering
Rosepaw saw her rival nearly walking away, and she hadn't spoken to him yet. So, what better way than to tackle his tail? She hid among the masses of cats, until she grabbed his brown and black tail. Hawkpaw turned to her, wide eyed. He relaxed a little, but not much, since they were rivals and all. "Hi Rosepaw. Long time no see. Is it about time for another race? You know you can't beat me in fighting."
"Well, you can't beat me in rock jumping... But yeah, I'm ready!" Rosepaw could hardly contain her excitement. Maybe she'd actually win the race.
"The only reason you win with rock jumping is that you cheat." Hawkpaw smirked as she called out "I don't cheat, you just fell of that rock by accent, I promise."
"Uh, huh. Right. I believe you." Hawkpaw said, sarcastically. "How about we meet at the Earthclan and Rockclan border. We could set up the race there. Bright all of your apprentice friends. Make sure you get Flamestar's permission."
"I know that, I'm not a kit!" Rosepaw shouted, before she looked at the leader in question. "See you tomorrow?" She asked.
"Right, tomorrow." Hawkpaw watched her pad over to her friends, squealing with Petalpaw about the event they had planned. She always was his rival, but he didn't really see it as a rivalry. Not really. They were more like good friends that challenge each other. At least, in his eyes.
--------------
Adderpaw avoided his sister. She was not really the funnest person to be around, and he had to deal with her enough. She was small, but she had a way to persuade him to do what he wanted, by force. Most of that was pranking the cranky elders, but what else could he do? He didn't know how to stand up to her. But he had a feeling that if he didn't, she'd bother him forever, even to Starclan. That is, if she didn't get plunged into the Dark Forest before then.
*********************
Windpaw had watched Ashpaw for some time at that gathering, as he walked with a similar looking tom, obviously giving him she-cat advice. Then he watched a specific she-cat part of the way through the gathering, and later spoke with her. The reason she knew this was that her eyes didn't leave him since she overheard his discussion with the younger apprentice. Adderpaw, her brother, often called her a "scary piece of she-dung" with his undertone of cusses that hid his cowardice.
But that didn't even begin to cover who she was.
She decided she was going to meet up with this new apprentice, and see how he would fair. Was he interested in romance? She was, but she wanted to see how others reacted to the trials of love. She had seen it herself, from her heart being ripped from her after a stupid apprentice that now rested in Rockclan had broken it without a second glance. He hardly even remembered her name now. But, she had gone over the crying stage, and now she was after revenge. Yes, revenge had made her bitter, made her outraged with the world, made her prank the rest of the world, so that maybe it could fill the hole. But maybe, she could see if this apprentice was willing to try and fill it. There was nothing she could do better than revenge.
"Hey, you!" She called, just as Fireclan started to leave.
---
Ashpaw looked around. He felt like that call belonged to him, maybe a project was headed his direction. He looked and saw a small, white she-cat headed his direction. He smiled slightly, he seemed to be picking up project after project. But, with the way she walked, he knew the smooth-talking Ashpaw was his ticket to this she-cat. "Why, hello."
Windpaw smiled back, seeing that he answered. "What's your name? I saw you and..." She looked away, acting sheepish. The good thing about her high voice was she could act innocent. But that made serious matters harder.
Ashpaw tried to hide his grin exploding behind him. This night was getting better and better. "My name is Ashpaw. And, what might yours be, my sweet?"
Windpaw almost rolled her hazel eyes. 'my sweet?' What type of smooth-talker was this tom? "Oh, I'm Windpaw. I'm from Leafclan." A fact that she resented. But, she had no interest in freezing time, nor in being like a Darkclan cat, so powerless is what she was left with. She wasn't sure what powers Darkclan cats had, but it didn't sound pleasant.
Ashpaw frowned. "Leafclan, huh? Well, I'm from Fireclan." He looked back, and saw that most of his clan was gone. "Well, I need to go. Sorry. Maybe we'll see each other?"
Windpaw nodded. "Perhaps." She watched him run off. This was going to be fun. Ashpaw was going to be very, very fun.
((I love these guys!! Windpaw's scary, though... She's the perfect tool for me to get Ashpaw's character growth in gear.))
