haha, yeah, but they're a member of the forum so we won't discuss their sanity any further ;)

I guess they just really liked collecting, but I think cases like that is EXACTLY WHY this new limit is going to make things fairer and less insane ._.

Yeah. Sometimes people can go a bit overboard without meaning to.

I know most of the people where highly upset when this 'ban' took affect. But when you think about it, this whole place is for free. Tess spends her own time drawing, colouring, designing and codeing these things for our benefit. It saps up a lot of time, and I think its pretty selfish the way some people have responded. What, honestly, are you going to do with 11,ooo various adoptees? Or 200 of the same type, for that matter? I can only imagine the amount of money this place is costing Tess to host, and as more and more people are joining, and adopting and adopting and adopting, it increases the bandwidth of CS, which it turn, costs more for Tess. There is no logical reason I can see for hoarding thousands of pets. None. Yes it's fun to trade and get a whole set, but if you think about it, the normal ratio of 1/10 will allow pretty much everyone to grab the complete set. Perhaps missing one or two, but there's going to be a good chance that someone else missed something you had, so it all works out. I hope you all can see where Tess is coming from here. Yea, it's going to be hard for some of you to come off your adopting high, but there is the alternative, Tess could charge for this place, and then what? I say kudos to Tess for putting her foot down. Nick too, whom I'm positive is lurking about as well.

one pet this month you have a chance of 1/132 or something of getting - it's the rarest pet we have so far (not talking about that green 2nd gen), just because the probability is ridiculous (I used to be able to set 1/10 to have the same effect)

so then the probabilities this month will be normal again? Beacuse if not well the trading threads are just going to be a chaos for that 1/132 rare one.

11000, wow. I must admire your patience, because I got tired of adopting pets around six of one kind. :D

anyway, back to topic.
I can already see the affect of the ban, and it's positive, because know the new pets also have a value in trading, before only the july pets were worth anything at all but now every single pet you are allowed to adopt is getting important, and the hole point of collecting the pets is getting fun, without getting to hard, and actually it's less stressful in a way, because now everyone have the same chances, not comparing to how much time you will spend on adopting pets for eternity.

After all, I really like this new system. It feels so much better when the pets are becoming more important in a way, and when you know everyone have the same odds of getting those pets.
Woho!

Alexis,

You can adopt them from the main page of Chickensmoothie.com, along with a variety of other critters.

Best of luck to you.

I really think that this new limit is fine. ;)
I mean, I probably have over one-hunrded pets or something, but that's only because I have a few newborns, one of all the other pets you made, one or two extras of my favorite pets, and some that I'm still offering for trades.
Nothing like twelve of one pet. That really is insane. :?

Anyway, I have a question about the new system please.
If we adopted one and deleted it later on, then could we adopt another pet after that?
Would it count toward the total or anything?
I know it probably won't anyway though, but I'm not sure. ^^"
Because when I have doubles, then I either put them for adoption and trade or delete them rarely.
And after that I normally try to adopt again to see if I'll get a different result... If that is okay too.
But that's what keeps me happy, so I quite enjoy Chicken Smoothie. <3

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere that once you adopt your 15 then that's it, even if you delete your extras or trade them. But if you adopt a pet from someone, that doesn't count towards your 15.
