"She has whitecough, I'm pretty sure of it. And she may not have shown symptoms, causing the deformation of this kit." She said, showing a small white she-cat. "The two kits seem healthy though." She mewled.

[MoshiMoshi~]

Cicadawing felt as though his heart went into his throat, "A-And, they'll all be okay, right?"

Sandpaw trotted out of the apprentices den. The previous day, she and her fellow apprentice, who she obviously mooned over, Foxpaw, has taken their final assessment, and were simply waiting for their warrior ceremony.

[majora.]

"They will, for now at least, but about Iceflower..." She looked over at the wheezing cat.

Foxpaw shook out his fur as he walked into camp, bringing back a small water vole. He flicked his tail at Goldenpaw as he passed, and set the vole onto the pile as the warriors from the hunt piled through the tree-root entrance. His golden patches shined in the light filtering through the trees as he lifted his chin to examine camp.

[MoshiMoshi~]

He stiffened, "She'l be okay too, right?" He mewed in a desperate tone.

Sandpaw quickly trotted over to Foxpaw, brushing her pelt again his side, even though she knew he didn't like that, "How was the hunt?"

"I... don't know, Cicadawing." She said, grief choking her voice. She felt as if the world's weight was on her shoulders; now she had to keep the rest of the clan from getting sick, and take care of her friend.

Foxpaw flinched, looking down. "Oh, ahm, It went quite well actually, despite the weather." He mewled, looking over at Daisytail and Wolfsplash carrying a large rabbit together.

[MoshiMoshi~]

Cicadawing hung his head, "Do everything you can..." And he silently left the den, his tail dragging.

Sandpaw kept her pelt pressed against his, "I'm so excited to be a warrior! Do you think we'll have to make our own nests in the warriors den?"

Iceflower watched him leave, sighing heavily. Who will watch these kits? She asked herself, flicking her tail in anger. Who will feed them?

Foxpaw nodded gently, slightly moving his body from hers. "Uh, maybe. Im not sure, I haven't been in it yet." He rumbled, looking over to the dug-out den where the warriors sleep, the cavern covered in moss and the top sheltered by sticks holding dried mud and leaves so no water seeps in.

[MoshiMoshi~]

She puffed out her cheeks as their pelts separated, "We'll have a lot of time to spend together, not that we won't have tedious apprentice duties." She mewed without thinking.

[majora.]

Foxpaw blinked. "Oh, of course. We'll have lots of time to be the best warriors we can be!" He suddenly said, proudly puffing out his chest. "One day, I'll be leading SoulClan." He mewed, a toothy grin on his face.

Sandlaw looked to the side, sighing, "Yeah, well be great warriors...." She muttered in a dissapointed tone.
