I am reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I enjoy horror. The Stand by Stephen King is a particular favorite. The book is long, like 1,400 plus pages long. But it is a well thought out and executed story. It's the ultimate battle of good versus evil. Many people regard the book as the best thing King has written.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett was a fun adventure. The book had many laughable points. It was quirky in the way only these two could make it. It's just a lighthearted, funny book about an angel and a demon stopping the apocalypse.

A Song of Ice and Fire series: I'm rereading the series for the third time, just to absorb the details. A Game of Thrones is one of the best, but the story gets better as it progresses. Martin is very good at writing an epic Fantasy, so I'll say it's probably one of the best reads I've read.

House of Night: An alright teen angsty vampire series. It's a bit typical, but it also transcends some of the highschool teenage vampire cliches and doesn't incredibly romanticise vampires.

The Gathering by Isobella Carmody: It's a very interesting spin on highschool, and the author is very descriptive. It brings up the issue of power abuse, personal demons, good vs. evil and Existentialism. I'd recommend it.

The demonata is a 12 book serious about demonic adventures and the same author wrote circus de freak which is a 15 book series about vampires, freak shows, and a parallel universe . both very intense and plenty of murder. great books.

For me, there are older books but Warriors (or warrior cats) is a good book series. It has action and emotion and even made me break out in tears. But its happy to! Hope i helped!!
