So I found that one weirly acting otto dead today... :\

So sorry to hear that I love my three little ottos and would be devastated if something happened to them.

Today I lost another barb and one of my bristlenose plecos. *sigh*
I think I'm down to 5 tigers now? 4?
Two more tiger barbs are lookin' really bad, my half-stripe female is one of them. I'm really upset about it. She was my favorite.
My boyfriend seemed to be more understanding today, said he felt bad that all my fish were dying, and he'd let me buy a few more when he gets paid, if the tank is better. I think when this is over I want to get a redtail shark and more female tiger barbs.
I mean, I don't think they'll be better that soon. But it was nice of him to offer.
This whole ordeal is pretty traumatic. It almost makes me want to quit fishkeeping. I hate to see my pets suffer. I feel so guilty for it, even when it's not my fault I feel like the worst person in the world.
I've been considering freezing(euthanizing) all the sick ones that don't look so good, so they won't suffer. But at the same time, I really want them to live. It's such a struggle. Whichever decision I choose, I'll still be upset and think I should have chosen the other decision.
Also, my featherfin catfish has less ich on him now. But he's scratching more than ever and cutting his sides all up. And his fins are torn down to the tips of his bones, from ripping them while scratching. I feel really bad for the little dude. I just want him to stop scratching before he really hurts himself.
If he doesn't kill himself, I'll have to treat with melafix for sooo long to get him (almost) back to normal ('cause he'll never look quite the same).
Ugh.

I'm so sorry. I wish I knew how to help you but I can't think of anything your not already doing. I mean maybe try a 50% water change, add half the dose of meds again, and raise your temps like 5 degrees. Again, I'm so sorry and your in my prayers.

On a happier note, all of my mystery snails learned to come up to the top of the tank at night time, and then I feed them brine shrimp cubes! I'm trying to get them to breed (I swear I've seen it happen but its not) and hopefully this'll give them that extra boost! I've lowered the water level like 6 inches too. After I get them to breed, I'm gonna buy a pair of rabbit snails!

I caught one of my new males trying to breed with one of my female guppies! At least I think. He was chasing her and swimming in circles and he had his anal fin spread out. If they were successful, this will be the first batch of fry!

I wish my snails would breed, one is too shy to come out of his shell and the other one is all over the place.
The shy one would probably do better in a tank with less nippy fish, so I'm trying to get another smaller tank for Christmas so I can get some more calm fish to put with my shy snail.

I actually did a 40ish% water change yesterday night and redosed the meds. I pretty much just kept taking water until my parrots got stressed out, then I added water back so they didn't freak out too bad. The parrots stressing out is the reason my tank broke out with ich in the first place. I've never had my tank break out with anything before, barbs are honestly really hard to stress out. So. Yeah.
Only one of my tiger barbs is acting healthy, haha. It's the smallest one in the tank, the only albino that's survived. He's been schooling with the black rubies bc the tigers are mean to him, so he's the only tiger that hasn't gotten sick. Along with the healthy black rubies that are like, super-fish and can handle anything, apparently.
My catfish was looking awful again this morning, but I dosed more melafix and he's looking better. I need to go to the store and pick up more melafix before I run out... It's the only thing keeping my catfish together.
If I go too long without adding melafix, he scratches like he's trying to skin himself. It's horrible.
Poor guy.

Small rant: I'm seriously starting to dislike my nearest pet store that sells fish... It seems like everytime I go there there's always something wrong with the tanks. Like either the water is green on some tanks(for while over half of the tanks), there appears to be blue algea on the bottom on some or there are dead fish laying on the bottom(or soon to be dead as they stick betta girls in the tank with 0 hiding spots). Their pricing is also bit of a killer. Like I looked at the root tabs(they only had one kind) and the price was triple of online store's... The fish pricing is tad high as well. They do have nice interesting selection of fish though, like chocolate gouramis and today I saw pictus catfishes(which I have never seen anywhere before). Their supply selection how ever is not so great. Like they got bunch of foods(though mainly Tetra's), but the rest of things(like water conditioners, fertilizers etc) there's pretty much no selection and as said, prices are crazy. They also don't have ANY drop tests, only slips... So great location for me, but I don't dare to buy any fish from there and supply vise, I'm not so rich so if I know where I can get stuff cheap that's were I rather go.
They also had a pretty looking betta today as well. It was in the female betta tank, but I think it might have actually been plakat male... Like it had much much brighter colors than rest 4 females. Though the poor fish wasn't looking like it was doing too great(hanging near the bottom, swam little funny)... I wish I could have taken it, but no extra heaters(I do have small filter and bunch of storage boxes). But still it's likely it might not have made it. They were also in quarantine still, so it's not like I could have bought it anyway.

I never had to try to get mine to breed, let them get used to each other and they will start breeding, just make sure to leave the eggs where they are layed, keep an eye on them and make sure the eggs have moisture

I'm sorry about the tiger barbs....I hope they make it! And the poor little catfish. How big is your tank?

It's only a normal 55gal, but I overfilter so I can keep more fish in it, since I'm borderline overstocked. I've got a 50+gal filter and another 75gal I think? On the other side of the tank, of course.
I'm not allowed to have a tank bigger than that as long as I'm still in my mom's house. (Makes sense, it'd be really hard to move when I leave home. Imagine pet moving day for me.... 2 coolers full of fish, my gecko's and spider's tanks, 2 cat carriers w/ 5 cats, 10 chickens in boxes, and my dog and his crate.)
(But for some reason she let my sister have a 75gal saltwater on a whim?... That I ended up taking anyways bc she killed off all her fish... because of poor pairings and inadequate feeding regimens, not paying attention to salinity, etc.)
But yeah. I'll be leaving hopefully within the next two years, and when I do I'm hopefully getting a 125 or bigger.

My plant package came today! Lots of duckweed, java moss, guppy grass, and more c: And some snails decided to hitch a ride! I know most people would do a snail dip to get rid of them, but I don't mind the snails. *shrug*
Finally some plants for Mochi's tank, it's been so bare! And I loaded up the 10g with a bunch too. More guppy fry hiding spots!
