Ughhhh. I keep losing barbs to bacterial infection on their eyes, and I can't even identify it. I'm really upset. Tank is being medicated with a bunch of different things as of last night, so whatever it is it's probably covered now, I just hope they'll get better before I lose more of my irreplaceable tiger barbs, like my half-stripe and the one with a horizontal stripe down her side (probably a scar or something but still really cool).
After this horrible plague goes away I'm gonna have to buy more barbs to get the population back up...
I cried over it, had a funeral for every fish I lost... lmao. I lost my most colorful male tiger barb, pretty upset about it. I'm probably gonna lose my only half-stripe female tiger soon, that's gonna be even more upsetting because she's the only one I've ever seen missing a stripe on one side like that.

Ugh. I'm kind of regretting my blood parrot cichlids now... they really put the "blood" in "blood parrots"........
My boyfriend is really annoyed by how upset I am over my fish. He doesn't really care for fish that much and he thinks I'm being silly. So. Our relationship has really taken a massive hit over my tank's ich-breakout/massacre.
Fingers crossed my catfish at the very least will be okay. I don't even care if he's covered in scars and ripped fins when this is over, he's not a living decoration, he's my pet. He could be the ugliest thing ever and I'd still love him. He's a real trooper, he's survived so many awful things. Like once when I was years younger, I thought he was dead, back when he was the only fish in my tank, so I drained the tank halfway and turned off the filter. Left it like that until I discovered he was still alive months later, and I freaked out and went out to buy a new filter and etc for the tank haha. He was totally fine.
So. I've lost half my tiger barbs to some weird infection on their eyes, and half of the remaining survivors got it like overnight. My African featherfin catfish and all 4 of my panda barbs are like, completely covered with ich. The corydoras seem to be fine but I can't get a good look at 'em. The plecos are acting pretty weird. The only ones that are okay are my black ruby barbs (somehow all 6 of them are PERFECTLY FINE?? Black ruby barb master race, I guess) and my blood parrot cichlids (the evil creatures that brought this horrific plague to my tank)...
Pray for my babies. Please. They're gonna need it.
And, off topic- on top of all this going on with my fish, I also lost my first tarantula (he refused to eat for almost 2 years, suffered from malnutrition and passed recently), and the stray cat I feed, Lucifer, somehow broke or dislocated his leg, so I had to betray the trust I've built up over two years, to catch him and cage him so he wouldn't walk and mess it up anymore, 'cause he was dragging his leg. I have to miss school tomorrow to take him to the vet, and take out some loans to pay for his bills. At least he's finally going to be fixed and get all his shots, though. Poor baby.
Geez. Someone call karma and ask what the heck I did to deserve all of this. I mean I'd rather have her take it out on me and not my pets, what a coward she must be that she has to have all of my pets suffer over something I must have done.
