It was my favorite as a pup but sadly isn't as an adult..

It grew from the pup with the skull-like or mask-like face. And I believe they decided to leave it going over because October was starting; they started a new thread when it first passed 900, but it was quickly recombined with this one.

Mostly I'm waiting for staff growths so I can get to work on the yearly tradition of staff litter avatars! But I might as well share my favorite outcomes thus far.


TheCalicoTabby did one of my favorite outcomes last year and she's back with another great one. The beauty about this dog is that just the pose is enough, it doesn't need a whole lot of bells and whistles to look good. Actually I feel like the pose change with a whole bunch of other edits would've killed the effect of the pose change. I'm hoping this lineart gets some more mileage because I like it!


I will admit, Verdana's entry last year didn't really make it onto a faves list. Unique and an interesting concept, but not my thing. Wow, did she improve since then! All of the edits look like they just belong together, and the creature she has crafted looks every part of the careful butterfly curator. I loved the pup and the adult did not disappoint. A beautiful and subtle nod to the natural, definitely my favorite of the heavily line edited pups.
