She tilted her head, laughing nervously as she glanced sideways at the ground. "Well, I was exploring, and I may have gotten a lost..."

"Well, I was wandering around the border, right after you two became mates, and I hopped onto a fence, curious if I could see anything. I wandered down, and realized I wasn't in Oakclan territory. So I ran back, and here we are." She explained, her eyes darting everywhere but Flintfoot as she thought.

She shuffled her paws nervously. "I've had thoughts, that's for sure. But I'm pretty sure I will stay. Greenstar is running low of lives. I can't just leave him like that." She flicked her ear, her gaze flicking to the leader's den for a moment. Realization hit her. "Wait for me? Like... Up there?"

He shook his head in a reply of no. Flintfoot's eyes met Flamewing's. " I just want you to be happy, Flamewing. If you go, I can tell them you got stuck in a badger hole, or got hit on the Thunderpath. " Flintfoot pleaded, eyes filled with worry and sadness.

She shook her head. "Flintfoot." She began, her voice stern. "Even if you are mates with Kestrelflame, my heart wouldn't be able to bear anything without you. It would kill me from the inside out. I can't leave you, even if I wanted to. My paws would just lead me right back to you."
