He intently watched the water at the creek's edge for any sign of life. His ears pointing towards the sound of rushing water. All senses where on alert.

He looked around the more densely wooded areas, for he thought he was better at catching animals such as squirrels, mice and the occasional bird.

A splash in the water caught his Attention. He slowly got up, stalking towards the splash. His paws getting soaked as he padded into the shallow creek. He raised his paw and awaited for the fish to swim into range.

He flicked his ear towards the splash but kept his attention towards the trees and trodden leafs. He spotted a rather plump mouse and crouched as low to the ground as he possibly could. He took a quiet paw step after the other, inching towards the mammal.

He watched the water oh so closely. He licked his lips in anticipation as he saw the glimmering of scales in the water. He sat as still as a statue as the fish swam closer to him. In a slit second his paw came down into the water and his claws tore into the fish's flesh. The fish flew out of the water onto land. It still was alive and flopping around. He padded quickly to it before sinking his fangs in it as blood seeping into his mouth.

He took a few more steps until he was a tail-length away. He slowly unstheathed his claws and leaped forward, catching to mouse off guard. He almost clumsily landed on the mouse, his claws giving it a quick and painless death blow. He sat there for a moment then stood up with the mouse dangling in his jaws. He gave Romano a goofy smile.

He looked up at Sandstripe and just rolled his eyes, dropping the fish and grabbing it by its slippery tail.
" let's go bring these back to the food pile " he said, his voice slightly muffled by the fish. He padded past Sandstripe, slightly brushing against him.

He purred, "Alright." and bounded up towards his mate, soft purrs rumbling in his throat.

He kept glancing back at his mate and wondered how he was always cheery and purring. He just sighed not really caring anymore because, for all he knew is that's just the way His mate was and he loved him for it. He saw himself and his mate as two sides of a coin. They couldn't be complete without each other but they were completely different in every way. Sandstripe seemed to fill the gap he had. Sandstripe was that one puzzle piece to his picture, and he wouldn't know what to do without him. Without knowing Robintail smiled and purred at his thoughts.
