Hopefully I'll have time to make some art of them on my days off ;u;
I have to say I was really attached to them right when I first saw them, not only are their colors absolutely gorgeous, but I've been questioning my own gender identity for a while now (either agender or androgynous) so when I saw they were agender I was pretty excited ;w;
I've recently also been really thinking about getting a snake or lizard, but I don't think it would be possible at the place I currently live (its not a permanent home, but not planning on moving anytime soon) I've also never had any kind of reptile for a pet so I'm clueless cx But if we are talking about snakes here, I'd love to hear some tips for beginners (good starters, general responsibilities involved, that kind of stuff), even if I can't get one right now, I'd love to get some more information so I can make a more informed decision about getting one.
Anyhow, I'm absolute ecstatic to have Celozon and be involved with this community! (even if I'm not too talkative cx)
Calix wrote:As for snakes irl, generally corn snakes are the best starters. They're pretty docile, good eaters, and come in a huge variety of colors! Responsibilities generally include monitoring temperature and humidity, cleaning their bedding, handling, and feeding! ^^ If you google 'corn snake care sheet', you can see much more info!
(If you're worried about the feeding part- the mice are prekilled and frozen, and you just have to thaw them. If you're squeamish, I'd avoid owning a snake ^^; I used to have to chop the pinkies in half when my corn was a baby, because he wouldn't eat full ones. It can be messy but overall it's not too bad after you get used to it!)
