Flamewing watched sadly as Flintfoot walked away. She felt like tons of weight was lifted off her shoulders. Yet, she knew, her feeling for the tom would never stop burning. There would always be a fire inside her heart that would always burn, just for him. But it was time to hide that fire, and continue on with life. She lifted her head, her chin in the air. She couldn't look like she was so sulky! She had a clan to watch, they came first.

With a flick of his ear, Flintfoot turned around and looked at Kestrelflame. He got up and walked over, brushing his fur against hers. With a swift lick on her ear, Flintfoot purred lightly. " Flamewing made a very important decision, and she can feel my pain. But, I need to move on. " Flintfoot meowed. " Kestrelflame, I love you. "
