Flintfoot sat outside camp, bushing his fur against the cold air.

Sending one more glance over her shoulder, Flamewing solemnly padded out of the den, her ears pricking up when she saw Flintfoot. She slowly paced over there, her head low. "Hey..." She muttered. "I need to tell you something."

Flintfoot perked his ears and weakly smiled at Flamewing. " You can tell me anything. " He responded kindly, his eyes gazing at her with interest.

[fowauke]

She licked her lips, as they were dry. "I'm... I'm sorry. But I cannot... Well, keep going like this," she took in a deep breath. "You deserve the best, Flintfoot. And I simply cannot give that to you," she glanced over her shoulder, in the direction she had last seen Kestrelflame. "But, Kestrelflame, she can. I'm so sorry, Flintfoot. Can you ever be able to forgive me?" She asked, her eyes soft as she leaned in to touch noses with him.

Flintfoot's heart sank. He drooped his head slightly. " Heh, it's alright. " The tom lied. Flintfoot then started to slowly walk away, but before he began to place his paws ahead of himself, he murmured to Flamewing. " I'm here if you need me. "

[atticus,]

Pineleap slept on his mossy bed, snoring away. He opened his eyes, thinking he was awake. "Who's that?" He muttered, looking off in the distance. "Take care of them.. Bramblefang." The brown tabby queen mewed, giving two kits to the black and brown tabby. "Of course I will, Brindletail." The tom stated, starting to pad away. "Remember, those two kit's names are Hollykit and Pinekit. Don't you forget that." The queen reminded him, her eyes filling with tears as she saw the tom taking her kits in the opposite direction. She turned around, walking into a twoleg den's garden. Pineleap suddenly looked back from his shoulder, a she-cat coughing. It was Hollypool. "Hollypool!" He yowled, running towards her. She then vanished, hiding up in the shadows of the trees. "Never turn your back to someone you love." A voice mewed, making him shiver in fear. "Who is th-" Pineleap tried to say, then opened his eyes and leaped up in the air. "Never turn your back to someone you love.." He repeated, trying to remember his dream. "What in Starclan does that mean..?"

- What happened while I was gone?

[fowauke]

She frowned, guilt flooding her. "I'm sorry Flintfoot," She sighed. "I will try and be there for you as well, but you know, I've already failed at that," she blinked. "Maybe, in another life, when we are both rogues, and our paths cross. Maybe then, we may be at rest. But not in this life." She shook her head, chuckling. "Farewell."

(Nothing. Not a single thing happened while you were gone. But, there is now a discussion thread for Oakclan!)
