Challenge One (Art):Draw your character as a new species!
Challenge Two (Writing):Write a story which involves these three things:
~Someone else's character (Get permission, no art theft allowed.)
~At least two of your characters
~UFOs in any sense of the term.
Challenge Three (Mixed):Make something that you think represents one of your characters. This could be art, a story, something in real life you take a photo of, a floral arrangement and explain why you did what you did. Or don't. You can also just leave us confused.
Always open to art trades

Finished Sharky c:

By me
If you could still on character that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?Um all of TalonEX's and Chims charactersNah, probably Manoso from Chim, or Zane Roman from TwilightApocalypse
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?sometimes, I guess. Not really my favourites, but secondary characters tend to go after a while.
Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?Bought, I think. Most of the characters I make, just fade, and I never use them, unless I love them heaps.

When creating a character, do you start by writing/creating a back story for them or drawing their design?I temd to always start with the design, and then make up the backstory and things as I go.If you could steal onecharacter that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?I have half a mind to steal one of Clu's Sushi Dogs, but I dont think I could give it the same love she does. What really makes you feel attached to a character?I fall in and out of love with characters so easy. What really keeps me held on is if I'm active with it. Rps, art, etc.Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?Oh yes. We are constantly changing. It would only make sense that out tastes do, too.Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?Only ever in my head. I'm always worried that if my pet died, I would get all weord with the design.Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?I hate to say it, but definitely Characters I make myself. Doesn't mean I don't love the others I have that are by someone else, they just have a higher turn over rate.Guui Pups are having their first Halloween event! When creating a character, do you start by writing/creating a back story for them or drawing their design?
With human characters, the story comes first and then the design. But with animals or anthros, it's generally design then story. Human characters are the exception to everything for me (I think it's cuz I love them more xD)
If you could still on character that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?
Ahhhh this is an easy question for me ~ definitely Ebonpyre's shark anthro character. I can't remember his name at the moment but he's so rad. The makoatl named Praia is another character I'd totally steal -can't remember the owners name though.
What really makes you feel attached to a character?
For me it's when their story really clicks powerfully in my imagination. No matter how good a design is, if It doesn't inspire or speak to me then I can't get attached.
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?
I think so. Not because there's anything childish about having characters, but because eventually real life gets In the way. It's harder for me to part with money for stuff now than it was 10 years ago for me (although 10 years ago I wasn't into this)
Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?
No. My oldest dog Cici is 16 and slowly beginning to deteriorate so I have thought about making a character to remember her young years. But the idea of finding a mate or breeding her or humanizing her in any way really weirds me out. I can't imagine how anyone could do that XD it's different if it's something like a fish that you don't get attached to - I could make characters based on fish I owned I guess? But like a dog... no, I never could do that.
Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?
This doesn't really seem to be a trend for me. I have about equal. I do tend to get more art of purchased characters though.

i always, always, always start with the design. i never come up with
backstories for them until i see the design and get a sense of what their
overall character would be. c:
What really makes you feel attached to a character?
either certain design elements or the personality i've developed. if i feel
i have a personal connection i'm a lot more likely to keep them.
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?
definitely. i just made myself a new fursona after all~
Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?
i haven't, no. i guess i feel like my pets aren't interesting enough to make
characters from? plus my pets happen to annoy the heck out of me, as
much as i love them.
Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?
ones i buy. i tend not to create my own characters because i'm never
happy enough with the outcomes. ;w;

I actually feel like doing questions! Woot o v o
When creating a character, do you start by writing/creating a back story for them or drawing their design?I usually start out drawing the character out, then as I'm creating their design I start to think about their back story/personality.
If you could still on character that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?I have no idea >v< Too many awesome characters out there
What really makes you feel attached to a character?Just their personality/story. Designs that I connect too (for example, a nautical theme char. because I love the ocean)
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?I haven't been doing this character thing for too long so I'm not sure on this one. Yes, I do get tired of a character/just don't use 'em, so I guess you could say I do outgrow them. Mainly because I just don't connect with them anymore or I just don't like the design as much as I used to. I only have one character that I know I'll never out grow (Tama-kun) <3
Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?Nope. :> I prefer to just keep my real life pets in real life haha
I don't know...Both? |D I guess if I'm making a character I'll connect with them as I'm creating them, so there is that.

@Smolder: Adorable art! I love the colors on Raine.
@bear: That munchkin is so cute. ;v;
@Ferncat: I love the blue hues used on Sharky's design~
When creating a character, do you start by writing/creating a back story for them or drawing their design?
I find it easier to try writing about them first before I set down a design, but, even then, I tend to have problems with designing. OTL A backstory does make it easier for me to develop a character later!
If you could still on character that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?
There's a lot of characters I would steal. ;v; Either Kalise's Gilliam or Sad's Foxxx.
What really makes you feel attached to a character?
I find myself feeling really attached to my old and not-the-best-designed characters mainly due to their backstories. Especially when they've shifted so much after all the months/years I've owned them. A few of mines have had some pretty dynamic character changes from events in their backstories or from interactions with other characters. If I sold a character like that, I feel I'd be tossing away all the value behind them that isn't digital art.
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?
Yes, I find myself outgrowing characters but very slowly and rarely. I've always loved natural designs over unnatural now, but at some point I did have some really bright characters...for some reason.
Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?
No. I wouldn't know how to do that without it becoming really awkward for me...
-and I'd be kind of sad to have a constant reminder of a deceased pet, too.
Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?
I have a harder time letting go of characters I make for myself.I finished Kailani's tag. Two versions: with sunglasses and without. c:

When creating a character, do you start by writing/creating a back story for them or drawing their design?
I usually see the design first, then come up with backstory unless I'm getting a custom character.
Sometimes I'll write the character into a short story then choose to make the character, but that's the only way that happens that way round.
If you could still on character that belongs to someone else, who would you steal and from whom?
Oh gosh... I would steal so many characters from Clu and she knows it X3
What really makes you feel attached to a character?
Not entirely sure. The fact that I use most in writing probably helps? But yeah, no clue.
Do you think you outgrow characters as time goes on?
Nope.
You only move on from them when you choose to do so. There's no "outgrowing" as it's not a child's idea? Authors have their characters as well but because they're used in a slightly different way everyone just ignores that and calls it different.
Have you ever turned a pet in real life into a character?
No I have not.
Which do you think you tend to hold onto more; characters you made yourself or characters you bought?
Characters I've made myself are few and far between, so I'd say ones that I've bought. Though I do have a mixture of both I've probably given away more of my designs than kept.
I will be here
when you think you’re all alone
Seeping through the cracks
I’m the poison in your bones
My love is your disease
I won't let it set you free
Til I break you
You’ll never know what hit you
Won’t see me closing in
I’m gonna make you suffer
This hell you put me in
I’m underneath your skin
The devil within
You’ll never know what hit you
I tried to be the lover to your nightmare
Look what you made of me
Now I’m a heavy burden that you can’t bear
Look what you made of me
Look what you made of me
I’ll make you see
